Stat has been a shell of his former self the whole season. It's been a rough week for him though with his brother's passing so I think he'll get better with time.

All of this is true, however it does not excuse the fact that Morey's job, his primary job is to find and acquire NBA talent.

And to have that talent benefit the Houston Rockets, I don't give a hill of beans for GState giving up on him, that is what they do, but the Rockets? They need talent.

Arguably, Lin has a much higher celing than any PG on the entire roster, and the Rockets had him in their control for a cheap contract, they could have locked him up, and eventually he would have gotten his chance for our team.

Now clearly the NY situation is unique, but he is looking more and more like a guy who will develop into that playmaking PG the Rockets have been coveting and to let him go for nothing, or Jeff Adrien, inexcusable.

It is a no excuses business, Morey let him go, his job is to keep talent and jettison the chaffe, he blew it, and GM's that blow it too often are GMs that are out of a job.

The longer Lin continues to excel the worse it looks for DM, and if he develops into a superstar, that is serious egg on our franchise.

    Agreed. No excuses.

If Morley loses his job within the next two years, Linsanity will be one of the reasons. Check his numbers against Dallas today: 28 points, 14 assists = Nash MVP numbers. SMFH....

    quoting another poster:
The Knicks won by 7 points. So obviously, as a team, the Knicks had a differential for this game of +7.

The game was 48 minutes long. Jeremy Lin played 46 minutes. Usually, when a player plays almost the whole game, his final differential closely mirrors the teams differential. Jeremy Lin, however, had a differential of +14 for this game. That means, that for the two minutes that Lin did not play, the Mavericks had a differential of +7.

Hes been this bad the whole season. He never developed a post game because he was so much more athletic than most bigs and now he just settles for jumpers

It's really conflicting. I enjoy watching the kid play. You can see NY's offense was stagnant when he was out. On the other hand, he's screwing up our pick big time

People overestimate on court playing time. NBA players are athletic freaks, they can handle playing hard all day.

Someone should totally make a video like this, but about Jeremy Lin. Maybe make it that Hitler (lifetime Rockets fan, LOL) is angry that Jeremy Lin is destroying the draft pick? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9KP91c4V-i0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

You know it is bad when a long time Rocket fan gets more enjoyment out of watching the NY Knicks than our own team.

The Rockets are a team of dull role players, low athleticism, but a hard working bunch of guys.

A team that will win some games during the regular season but will get blown out in the playoffs when all the teams with better talent try for 48 minutes.

And honestly, that sucks, where did all the talent go?

So David Stern nuking a trade that would have cleared up a roster spot doesn't fly as an excuse with you?

It really isn't going to look that way at all.
Every team in the NBA passed on him for 2 rounds in the draft.
The Warriors cut him, and the Knicks were going to cut Lin as well.
By your logic, every GM in the NBA should be fired pronto.
