Not really, they have been told not to call the foul when the offensive player tries to get a call instead of making the basket. Dirk just got a little bit of the same thing that Kevin Martin gets, either you try to make the basket or you get no call. Good solid basketball, IMO. And how the Rockets let this guy go and kept Jeff Adrien is beyond me, that does not speak well for the organizations ability to recognize talent. Jeremy Lin is not just kind of good, he is really good. Terrible to let this guy go, and it makes you wonder who else is on the Rockets bench not getting a chance?
Damn this guy just goes out and fills up the box scores every night. 5 steals, 14 assists, 11-20 shooting, throw in 4 boards and a W... more than makes up for 7 turnovers.
Another great game by J.Lin but hate that with each NY win, the value of our pick is going down. =( the novak/lin combo is quite effective.
warriors let him go, rockets let him go, mavs let him go, knicks were about to let him go. geez, stop attacking the rockets organization guys. truth is, jeremy just got extremely lucks. i'm happy as hell for him, but it's the truth. if baron davis was healthy, lin would probably be in china right now.
with melo and davis coming back and the addition of smith, NY looks elite if Lin remains the focal point. smh why do we still have this pick, it shouldve been traded already.
That's partly true but Lin's ball handling is a little shaky, especially when he gets in traffic. I think mostly it's lack of experience and lack of practice time with his teammates. That's the reason they double him, he's not used to it yet and he struggles with it. I think his turnovers will go down over time once he learns his teammates better, once he gets more experience in handling pressure, and of course once Melo gets back.
Lin is the truth, and he got an opportunity to play his game. That said, don't bad mouth the Rockets, praise Lin. Also, I think a lot of players would be great if given the chance. Same thing for a QB in football, Kurt Warner and Tony Romo were no bodies, grocery store clerks before they got a chance to succeed in games, and once they did, there was no looking back. Once again, if you let T-Will play his game, who knows, maybe he can put up some great numbers and somethings you're seeing from Lin.
It's only because the Knicks can't live without Lin right now. Remember that Kings game? He only played 26mins, so your run him to the ground theory doesn't stand.
No team in the league really gave the guy a chance in 1.5 seasons. Even the Knicks did not give him a chance until it looked like their season was totally over, both stars were out, and his contract was about to become guaranteed. Plus the Knicks run a totally different offensive system than the Rockets that is more suited to Lin.
