Watching Chandler Parsons flourish under Kevin's tutelage is really something to behold. There is of course the hustle, but beyond that a feel for the game...good instincts. Parsons already is an elite defender with upside... and it appears that he's about to take it to another level.

I hope he's a Rocket for a long time ..Still, if we was to get dealt at the deadline, how much would he fetch?

I'm thinking first rounder value in the 18 - 21 range.

He wouldn't be a centerpiece in any trade. He could possibly be a roleplayer addition to push a deal over the top and get it done.

Theres no "other level" for Parsons, he is what he is and he will always be this.

If we're looking at former precedent, a no-stats All-Star should be able to fetch us at least a #8 pick.

 He's got fairly good IQ, good athleticism, and isn't one dimensional. I'm going to do the typical clutchfans overrating of a scrub Rockets, but he'll get better. Not going to be all star, but decent player.

He is just a rookie...Parsons works hard each offseason, I have no doubt that he can get better and will get better...I am not saying will be a superstar but he is going to have a good career...how many people can come in as a rookie and become the starter? he is very well rounded and has excellent length and understanding of the game on both ends of the court...my fav player since college and I hope rockets keep him

We won't trade him, not at his salary. He's a bargain. Preseason, we were looking for a defensive stopper. We thought it could be Morris or TWill. Didn't McHale tell TWill to embrace being a defender? Then CP showed up everyone when he defended Durant well. And he's stayed on the starting line-up because he produces results and is dependable.

There was a stretch of close games during our 7-win streak, when in the endgame, we asked him to defend the go-to guy, and each time the guy he was guarding took the last shot, and he stopped them each time. Impressive!

Shooting, ballhandling, shot creating, posting up.

These are the areas where he has skills and/or can improve.

We know he can already be a defensive stopper at the 3.

    Straight Ka$h, homie!

It's almost impossible to guard perimeter players with all the weak rules and still ask your guy to be really good on offense. But Parsons can do that as he gets older. He just needs to shoot the three better and finish at the rim. 60% ft shooter in college..no excuse not to improve to 77% by his third year.

The one thing that puzzles me about Parson's is how he got away with being such a piss poor FT shooter. As a fellow white man, I am disappoint.

LMAO what are you talking about? He's still a rookie and only 23 years old. He may look like another low ceiling player, but the thing is just like Lowry when he was a rookie Parsons only needs to work on his 3 pt shooting, fts and finishing in the paint. All his other skills are already NBA caliber, he can just work on his shot during the summer and in 1-2 year's time he's gonna be near all star level just like Lowry.

Seriously? He has played less than half of a season in his entire career and you are saying he will "always be this." He has a good work ethic (arguably the number one reason why he won't "always be this") and should be able to work on his shooting, ball handling, and finishing around the basket etc.

Just be patient, when an individual is pitted against high level competition in any field, they tend to improve with time if they are hard working. I expect the same to be true for Chandler.

if he develops a shot, his game will majorly improve. If yall didn't notice, defenders leave like 5 feet of space between him and Parsons because they do not respect his shot.
