WOOOO! GO COWBOYS! GO....STUFF!! WOOOOOOOO! Alright, that was fake. I'm not that excited. In fact, I'm almost tempted to play a video game than watch them. But I think I watch them closely. After all, they've been playing well lately. Really don't care if we win or lose, though I probably would prefer a loss. If we win, we're showing improvement. GO IMPROVEMENT! If we lose, we get a better draft pick...and should improve. GO IMPROVEMENT! Maybe if we have a high scoring game with a bunch of hard hits, it will be a perfect game. I don't know. Hmm... I seem to be rambling...I'll quit. BTW, although it seems as though I gave up on Dallas, which in a way I did, I planned on giving up on Dallas at this time no matter how good, or bad, they did. The Rockets are SO MUCH more uh....better..and stuff...to watch than Dallas and I just have lost interest in football. Darn that Yao Ming. edit: Oh yeah. We're not mathmatically eliminated from the plaoffs yet. Still got a chance. Don't know how. GO COWBOYS!
I actually want to watch this game b/c I'm a big Niners fan. But the Texans v. Steelers game seems like a better matchup. Reminds me of those old December Oilers/Steelers matchups in the snow. Ahh, memories.
There's Woody again. I knew he'd do well. Couldn't wait for him to get his first season TD. He got me excited big time before the season.
Yeah...Woody just had an incredible run. He always could run well and avoid being tackled. His problem was catching the punts and kick-offs. He had zero consistency and, for a return man, that is a quick way off the team. The Cowboys kept him because he did make some great plays and has potential as executed here. Good think he was kept on practice squad.
Cowboys couldn't stop Garcia and Owens. The way the 49ers drove the ball in the 4th quarter...it was like playing a freaking one-sided console game. The secondary lost this game with their poor coverage. Game over.
Yep. Not that it would have mattered, but I think Garcia was pass the LOS on that one play. Looked like they snapped on the 20 or 21 and he threw it a little past that, like on the 19 or something. Just saw it once, though. Couldn't tell for sure. BTW, our coach sucks.
Owens is the man! Despite his a-hole proclivities (there is a funny San Francisco joke in there somewhere if you are in junior high) he is the best player in football. It doesn't hurt that I picked him in both of my fantasy leagues for the last three years. Word.
Good point, gr8-1 . I would rather attempt to get the first down and, if the 4th and 1 attempt fails, give them the ball on their own 30 yard line(or whatever) OVER taking my chances with a six point lead(if he makes the FG). The way the 49ers were moving the ball in the 4th(with a TD in 1:30 earlier)...Campo made a bonehead call on that one. A six point lead is obviously not safe when your playing with Owens the way he was playing. You keep the ball and run the clock out with a 3 point lead. Campo can take the blame for not getting his 3rd straight win ever. He sure can get upset at his other teammates but he has made some huge bonehead calls this season. Surf
Haha....I read somewhere that one of the Cowboys had nominated Roy Williams to go after Owens, should he do that again, since Teague is no longer with Dallas
I seem to remember a time when the Cowboys did go for it on 4th & 1 (twice), and coach still got blasted for the call.
I read that too. Roy didn't get to put a lick on Owens but I bet Jimmy Williams (kick returner) will remember the name Roy Williams.
Different situations. Since Cundiff makes almost no field goals from that distance, it was likely worth it to go for it on 4th and 1 because even if they don't make it, the ball is likely not going to be in as good a position for San Fran as it was after the predictably missed field goal. Even at the time while watching the game, I thought the Cowboys should go for it. The combination of Cundiff and the field position issue made going for it the safer choice, in my opinion. It may not have made any difference in the end. If the Cowboys don't make the first down, those few yards are likely meaningless. But I still say the Cowboys should've gone for it.
44-13 21-17 9-6 17-14 9-7 20-3 ...and now 31-27.... they all have a good ring to them, but none more than.... 19-10
Almost...almost forgot about that...almost....but now I have been reminded. Darn you. At least most of those were very close games, which means with some improvement (GO IMPROVEMENT!) we can possibly win a lot more games next year...or still suck. WOOO! Don't know why I "WOOO!" 'ed but it just sounded good. BTW, nice job on beating the Steelers. They're a pretty tough team.
