Way to piss off their fans. Can you be loyal to a team who would do this to their fans?

Actually, it's a fairly mild reaction to market conditions. In fact, they might still be under-pricing the tickets with a 27% increase. Basically, if MSG doesn't raise the price, people will likely buy a bunch of tickets at face value and sell them on stubhub.

Also, the most loyal of fans-- the season ticket holders-- already bought their tickets and should not be impacted at all.

    Lets put it this way:

Here is Stubhub's page for the NYK-SAC game tomorrow night:
    http://www.stubhub.com/new-york-kni...york-madison-square-garden-2-15-2012-3867296/

On 1/20/2012, I purchased two tickets in a "baseline riser" (areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9) for the NYK-MIL game that night, the tickets cost me $55 each.

Last Friday, 2/10/2012, right after the NYK-Lakers game, I purchased two tickets to the upcoming NYK-SAC game. The tickets were in the baseline 300-level, they cost me $55 each.

Right now, tickets in the baseline 300-level are selling at more than $100 each, roughly an 100% increase from last Friday night.

Tickets in the "floor riser" level are being sold at more than $200.

Guess I should have bought all of the avilable tickets on stubhub and scalped them for a profit.

Morey knows... Lin is a major loss marketing and money wise.... as his going to be massive in asia as welll as america.

Usain Bolt signed a 100 million/5 yr contract with a chinese company...

Lins gonna get paid big time.

He has more appeal then Yao..... being an asian american with amazing highlights..

Numbers out of China are suggesting that the Knicks have just replaced the Rockets as the most followed NBA team in China. This despite the fact that Chinese state TV won't show their games live due to all the Taiwanese flags in the stands.

I am now convinced. Morey really screwed the pooch on this one. Oh well, we still have 2 starting quality points.

I would say Morey and McHale screwed up badly on not finding a way to retain Lin. Morey is a proud man, and I think there is no way he is not upset at himself for letting this guy go. It is really too bad for us Rockets fans.

It's only too bad because of who he's playing for. We don't get this from Lin if we had kept him.
