OT: I went to a Bengali restaurant last month and talked to the owner. He goes, I'm Indian. I'm like, it says this is a Bengali restaurant (also that was in a Bengali neighborhood). He goes, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, it's the same. OT2: Many years ago, before Borat, I met a blonde guy from Kazakhstan, he says, "you know Kazakhstan? I just tell everyone that I'm Russian, because if you tell Americans that you are from Kazakhstan they think you are a terrorist." (true story, that was around 2001-2002.) I think he's ethnically Russian though. OT3: Once met a blonde guy from Ukraine (born and educated), he calls himself Russian and is a member of a Russian-American organization. I asked him, what's the difference between Russian and Ukrainian? He goes, nothing. But wikipedia says differently, and I still don't know. Lesson is, never assume, let the person identify his ethnicity himself.
I´m starting to wonder: did we actually have this superstar we were all dying to have on our team for a bargain contract and then just let him go? At first I also thought he is just a nice player that had a big game or two. But now, after hitting game winners in peoples faces, scoring almost 50 points one night, and doing his thing on a regular basis at his young age... It´s bad that we can`t get a proven superstar - it`s even worse to let an upcoming superstar slip right through your fingers when you could lock him up for very little money...
I already do believe now. What made me come over is quite simply this. This has happened before. A guy has come out of literally the end of the bench about to get cut and finally gets a shot to start and then boom...next thing you know people are asking how long can he keep it up for...well this guy has done it two seasons in a row now and helped his team get it's first playoff victory ever and ran all over a team that has never been ran all over in the playoffs before... Spoiler Houston fans have witnessed this before. The situation is very similar. That guy was undrafted and could have easily been cut with one lackluster start.
Good thing about Jeremy is, he is American but doesn't deny that he is Asian first, then of Taiwanese descent and most Taiwanese that has their grandparents from the Mainland, so he acknowledges also his Chinese ancestors..... Does not matter much.... If he would be from Antarctica, Micronesia, East Timor I would still cheer for him.
