He's worth 2.5-4.5 end of story... If we get him back in that range i'll be happy, if not oh well...

It is tough to say for sure, but I'm thinking he will get $6-8 on the open market. Definitely will be offered MLE money.

The Rockets shouldn't consider re-signing him for any more than $4 million per.

So the Rockets will lose Courtney Lee without compensation?

Even though I hope we can keep Lee, I am much more concerned about keeping Goran Dragic. Whatever Dragic gets on the open market, I think we need to match -- unless some team offers $10M or $12M like Martin. Dragic is far more important to winning than Lee. A good SG is much easier to replace than a quality PG.

If they dont trade him before March 15th then yes. They will loose him for nothing if they decide NOT to match whatever contract he gets offered from another team.

Doesn't sound like Morey does it??.. Losing a player for nothing. Either Him or Martin will be traded in March. I can almost guarantee it.

Dragic or Lowry and Lee or Martin will likely be traded...,

Goran is going to be an UNrestricted free agent. Dragic is free to sign with whatever team he wants to, and the Rockets cant do anything about it. I would guess that he's more than likely to sign with a team that can offer him A. A starting role, and B. More money. Unless Goran just LOVES Houston, he's most likely gone.

Totally agree; plus Dragic can play both guard positions, he has higher upside, and he's a year younger.

Would be Shocked if Lowry was traded for anyone not named Dwight/Deron/ or Pau.

Dragic and Martin or Lee are gone. Morey will have to take the best offer for either moving Martin or making a commitment on Lee. Dragic is gone this summer as I stated earlier. Would be shocked if he didnt get moved.

Along with all the 2009 draftees they took a flier on: Flynn, Hill, Twill...

I don't think Morey will trade Lee. In my opinion, he will part with Martin and make Lee the starter. Lee has proven, in Orlando, that he can be the starter on a winning team and is cheaper than Martin. Not to mention better defense. Lee is a keeper.

Really? (Brooks, Lowry, Dragic) Morey can easily draft or trade for a productive pg. I cannot say the same about the SG position...

If Lee becomes starter on this team (being Martin was moved in a trade), he's not worth more than $4 million per?

Again, to think on the Nets that Terrence Williams was BETTER than Courtney Lee. Courtney Lee of the two is similar to having a "Battier" vanilla type over a more "dynamic" Chase Budinger.

But he's definitely worth Trevor Ariza type money, who he was traded for. I wouldnt mind trading Martin to open up minutes for those 2, but the T-Will ship's looked like it has sailed.

Shouldn't splashes result in playoff wins? Let alone playoff appearances?

    hes RFA right?

then do the same thing we did to lowry by keeping martin until the end of the season and sign lee to some sort of backup sg money. then trade martin and then make lee the starter = cheap contract for starting sg!

I definitely wouldn't mind that. I'm more concerned about moving Scola with Motiejunas coming in. Lee is a better all around player that plays on both ends of the floor than Martin and I think he deserves something in the range of 5-7mil for 4yrs.

Lee should be the starter at SG for the next 5 yrs (minimum). Has become my favorite Rockets player now. Solid person and player.
