Somehow the all mighty ESPN has the Texans at the top of the rumors page about where Mario could possibly go, yet in the search bar on team fields they conspicuously just forget us, right in between GB and Indy. All other teams are listed as well....I say its a conspiracy

Do you have them as a favorite team? If so, they won't show up there just click the link at the top.

Mario is arguably the biggest FA on the market.

    No conspiracy.

I was among the few that was ok with the idea of letting Mario walk, but now that I think about it we have to re-sign him. Look at what the defense did WITHOUT him. Could you imagine the possibilities WITH him?

Our defense would rule over everybody.

Foster over Mario. I'd like to resign Mario, but he's not worth signing if it puts the team in a tough spot financially. He has always had such talent, but he HAS been injured now more than once, and his competitive drive has often been questioned.

Let some other team break the bank to get him. If we can get him for slightly above the league average for an OLB/DE, I'm all for it.

That's the thing. I don't have any teams set as favorites.

As for Mario or Foster, Foster is a must. We can't afford to rely on Tate and Ward. Mario would be a pleasant surprise if we do indeed resign him, but I don't think we will be able to match the offers other teams will be putting out there if we go out and try to sign a veteran WR and an upgraded CB.

For WR my top 3 wants would be Bowe, Johnson, and Wayne, but I doubt we will get any of them.

For CB I'd want Carr, Grimes, or Rogers.

But hey, best case scenarios never seem to happen.

If we resign mario we probably can't afford Duane Brown next season. Brown is more important to us.

We can afford a lot more than we think with the magic of the "Restructured Contract!" Look how much the Steelers cleared just by restructuring 3 contracts today!

I don't think so... I thought I heard someone on NFL Network say that it's supposed to stay the same as last year (or roughly the same).

Edit: Nevermind, I think you were referring to the 2013 season, and NFL Network was talking about the 2012 season in comparison to 2011.

I tend to agree. One of the few downsides to having so much young talent on the roster is that they all need to get paid at roughly the same time.

I agree with this. In a way, it just feels like he is the Texan's version of Shawne Merriman. If stay healthy and not break the bank he would be amazing, but it just does not seem like it is meant to be.
