I looked on the Rockets website, and noticed that instead of the dreaded channel 51, it will be on channel 39 WB. This will probably be the only game this season that I will actually be able to "see."
Both are WB affiliates. The New Orleans game was shown last nnite in Beaumont on Channel 18 - time Warner cable's "local origination" channel- with the real estate ads. I was eating at Carrabbas and asked them to try 18 and they were on. The spurs game was not shown as you know, but the Sacramento game was shown on 18. As far as I know - there is no way to determine in advance if a game will be shown on Time Warner 18. No rhymne or reason.... Frustrating. I want to watch the Rockets, but am reluctant to get League pass because of the "blackout' provisions. It should not be this hard to watch the Rockets in Beaumont. I don not know about you, but my radio will not pick up 610 for audio. I may drive to Houston tonite to see the Philadelphia game.
See, that's part of the problem. 1450 AM here advertises constantly as being the radio station for the Rockets in Beaumont, but they only have about half of the telecasts. Some nights they have it, some nights they don't... and there is never any advance notice. They didn't last night.
TBar, one of your fellow Beaumont-ites called the ppl there and got a listing of games that will be shown ...its posted in another thread. You might want to look it up so you know what games you can catch. Also. I'm confused now. Ch 51 has been advertising the 6ers game for a couple of days now. So which channel will it be on? Anyone??

TBar, The Cat, I grew up in Beaumont, but got out as soon as I could and am glad to be able to say I live in Houston now. If either of you still live in the, quote-unquote, "Golden Triangle," area, you have my condolences.
does any one know the answer to this? Man, I wish they had more of the Rocks games Nationally, on cable. thats all i got here in FW.
Hey Moomoo, I live in Nederland myself, and I know exactly what you mean, used to live in Houston for 3 yrs... want to move back real bad......I am a die hard Rockets fan and can't watch the game... I have to get out of this hick town.....
No radio either in Eastern Texas, but I can watch the Mavs game later. Hey Rockets, you're fans are out here, but where are you? Do you know how many people live in this part of the state? I guess you don't care. You are making many new Mavs fans out here. I am not one of them yet. If you continue to completely black out this portion of the state, most people won't have a choice.
