"NBA All-Star 2012 will play host to the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, which will introduce an exciting new format to a game that has historically featured NBA rookies facing off against sophomores. For the first time, rookies and sophomores will be mixed together on teams."

As mentioned in the quote, it will now be called the Rising Stars Challenge.

Sry if it has already been posted, did not see it.

Wonder how this will work out. I liked the rookies and sophomores having separate teams.

I actually like this idea. I wonder how they mix up the teams though.

The Asian kid, Jeremy Lin, will no doubt be picked last.

Barkley and Oneal will act as GMs and conduct a draft to select teams sometime in Feb.

    Weird!

To make it ovecomplicated, I would've split the sophomores into two teams: Eastern vs. Western and then they get to choose which rookies get to play with them.

Or just Eastern vs. Western (sophomores + rookies).

    Sophomores always win.

    I like this idea.

Neither will be picked if Shaq and Charles are deciding the rosters.

oh man...really Mo Williams? hahah. Tyreke, Gasol, Jordan..none of them deserve it either. Also don't know what Kenny is thinking with Dirk. Even Dirk himself said he didn't deserve it this season. Lowry has better stats than Lawson (yes, even with his last slump) and Rockets currently have a better record than the Nuggets. I'm okay with Webber picking Nash, who is leading the league in assists and shooting 56% from the floor. No way Gallinari deserves it over Gay. Harrington..hell no.
