Doesn't the DPS keep your last picture on file? If so, seems like if you showed up looking like the dude in the picture they should be able to replace it.

Of course, this is a total guess.

A few years ago I just went to the DPS and got a new one. I forgot what documents/items I had to bring though. Just hope the lines aren't long.

And I think if you go there you have to get a new picture taken. This is also a total guess.

If you haven't changed your address lately and remember your old DL number you could probably just fill out a change of address online.

This once happened to me when I was making the initial assault on Annapurna II Mountain in the foothills of central Nepal. I had woken up early that day since I was a little nervous and excited about the climb. My team consisted of myself, two New Zealanders and a Frenchman. We had met at university many years prior and had found out that we all had a keen interest in mountain climbing. We had climbed some smaller mountains mostly in Rockies and also went up to base camp on Kiliminjaro. I digress. Anyways, we also had a two sherpas with us. One was named Lipsong and I forgot the name of the other fellow. But he was around 20 years old. A fourth generation sherpa. So as we had climbed about 5,000 feet when suddenly I fell through a small ravine which was partially covered in snow. From the momentum, I fell about 20 feet and my bag fell about 50 feet further down the ravine. In that bag was my drivers license and passport. Anyways, the story has a happy ending as Lispsong was able to retrieve my bag after about another 10 minutes.

Your information is all on file a cop will just be a dick but he can search your name and see you have a license. I got pulled over with no license or proof of insurance the other day and he just searched my name and issued a warning.

I hope there isn't a cab or bus driver's strike either. Not sure what would prevent a cop from carting you right off to jail. God help you if it's a Trooper, I can't imagine they'd even have a choice about it.

Assuming it matches the spelling you've been taught your entire life, and your social security card (thanks, Mom).
