Hey Smeg...I came within an inch of doing that. I'd just got NBA2K3 imported from the states AND the Rockets were on AND my Mrs works etc...thus, the perfect day of video ball and ESPN The only problem was, just as I left work tuesday a meeting was cancelled and my boss was like "we'll try and arrange it for wednesday morning". I was like "not a problem"...and then it hot me "why the fark did you say that...you have that headache coming on!" Oh well, still got to see it on tape within a few hours A-Train...yep, 40 C. Terrible fires everywhere here though...not good at all. Dimise...the problem we have down here is that ESPN Pacific generally shows the first game of the double header every saturday. In the USA, due to times, that means east coast game followed by west coast etc. Unfortunately, that means we get an East Coast game nearly every saturday...and then, just as the west coast game is about to start, ESPN Pacific switches to dirt bike racing or rodeo bull footage... I am nto knocking those 'sports'...well I am actually... ...but who the hell wants to watch crap like that anyway in this part of the world?????? Just give us the double header every saturday!
AMEN TO THAT!!!!! Every saturday it seems as if its either boston against raptors, raptors against sixers, and sixers against celtics....not that i am complaining.....this is the 1st time in what seems forever (3 years) that i am watching NBA basketball .....i had spent the last 3 years on yahoo sports watching gamestats live and listening to audio league pass....... What i have noticed is that the wednesday games seem to be more western conference games......thats why i prefer wednesday games over saturday.......
Big Sexy...what's disappointing is, with FOX and OPTUS now sharing channels, it looked like we'd get the two games via ESPN...AND...the Sunday lunchtime game each week on FOX. This promised to be very cool as Fox's Sunday coverage used to be a game they picked up off a local US channel...ie if it was the Sonics, you got the sonics broadcast, if it was New York you got the MSG broadcast. Different teams + commentators etc...very cool on top of having ESPN. Like the brilliant coverage the NFL gets down here. I was shattered when FOX then decided to dump their NBA coverage. I rang them to protest and they were like "we still have NBA sir, it's now on ESPN" I was like..."no, it's always been on espn...it's just that you added ESPN...so why dump the FOX game???" and they basically said there was no need as “it’s on ESPN” etc etc…
OK, I have the NBA TV channel. Can anyone tell me how to figure out what game will show there? Anyone else in the world HAVE this channel? I still get Rocket games from a friend, but it's great watching other teams and seeing the difference, comparing, contrasting...
I first likened this particular play (in lieu of using my minimal college ball knowledge) to a Stockton-Malone cut. That said, I don't know if I like this one... But really, I think the big guy/little guy tandem plays are exactly what Rudy needs to be working on, and to me, the perfect playbook to be studying in this area would be any one of the Jazz's over the last 72 1/2 years.
