    Morey's deadline deals usually come out of left field so nothing is for certain.


    -Major deals- The main goal is to aquire an all star player or two. Ok, people on this board think, well there is only two free agents worth giving big money to this summer (Howard/DWill), but more than likely the front office is looking at trades rather than free agency. Who that is will be the big question. Pau Gasol could still be a big possibility.


    -Smaller deals- One thing thats for certain is that Morey will try and get something back for the 09 draftees if they fall short of aquiring a star. Even if its just for conditional 2nd round picks.

    Morey said that they are trying to free up cap space by not extending the 09ers, but I believe he didnt necessarily mean for the Rockets. By not extending the 09ers he made them expiring contracts, and a trade "asset" for teams looking to clear some cap space.

    If all else fails, I believe Morey will move around some of those guys for next to nothing. If only for their own benefit of getting a chance to play on a team that needs their help.

    I'm expecting the usual - a controversial trade that will involve at least one of our starters for someone virtually no one was initially hoping for.

    Personally, I still really wish we'd clear the decks in a bold move to rent Dwight.

    It's time to start pushing those chips onto the table.

    We get Dwight, Deron and LeBron says that he wants to take his talents to H-Town!

    That would be sweet....mmmmm Dwight.

    In reality I think that we do go all out for Dwight, if that fails Kaman... I believe that Scola is on the Blocks, not because of form, but because of cap space in free agent frenzy next season.

    We could also go after W.Chandler or JR Smith.

    Dwight and D will rumors start to go crazy around here because of speculation that we are involved with the Magic and Nets in some sort of 3 team trade.

    After hours of pressing F5 and 100s of pages in this forum it turns out that we traded the 09ers for Kaman

    I think we make the trade for Dwill - giving up way too much, sign him to a max deal, and then get screwed by not not getting DHoward... leaving us stuck with an overpaid and unenthused DWill with little to no support...
    hope i'm wrong...

    Morey will try to sell our guys to other teams and will fail. I don't blame the league for anything since Morey is obviously giving away the house for a master bedroom

    We have a number of legitimately attractive assets now. The NBA rotation is filled with good roleplayers (even the bench has two or three guys which could start for many teams) and there are some high-upside assets in the wings (D-Mo, Morris, Knicks pick). I feel confident Morey can combine them to get some deals done.
