With the Chinese Basketball Season concluding should the Rockets pursue any of the following? Perhaps to improve our team or become a future trade asset!

    -JR Smith
    -Aaron Brooks
    -Wilson Chandler
    -Kenyon Martin
    -Patty Mills

    Target all of them.

    Except for Aaron Brooks.

I would like Martin, he brings a fire and physical play that we sorely lack.

Wilson Chandler is intriguing. Would be an upgrade from Parsons/Bud as much as we all like those two. I wouldnt be shocked if the Nets, Celtics, Lakers, or even the Nuggets were pursuing him. Those teams seem to all make sense. He's a solid two way player, not an all star, but at the right price the Rockets would be wrong to pass up on him.

    All the other guys.... NAAWWW....

Wow AB from most improved player and should start over Lowry to not even pick him off the junkpile for a .500 team...

Only if Morey makes a trade or has one which is about to happen, creating a spot in the rotation for one of these guys. I don't see a good, defensive minded center in this group and that's our only position where we don't have a rotation-quality player (backup center).

Oh, I don't think Brooks would come back here, he will have better offers like the Lakers etc....

But we really really could use his one on one skillset, we don't have a single guy on this team that can create a good look for himself....consistently.....

As for Wilson Chandler....I would give up CBud to the Nuggz today for his restricted rights......

I'd give up more than just CBud. Bud doesn't have much value around the league right now.

...that tends to overplay his man, make poor decisions down the stretch, and doesn't deliver during crunch time.

Don't get me wrong, he DOES score and defend pretty well but his IQ down the stretch is very poor. He simply..chokes.

The Rockets only have the $2.5 million "room exception" to spend. So, we can forget about getting Brooks or Chandler, both restricted FAs since PHX and Denver will surely match such a small offer.

Of the unrestricted guys, I'd say JR Smith would be the most interesting. Here's a guy who can create his own shot. Would be a good guy to bring off the bench for instant offense and to take some playmaking duties off Lowry.

To give Smith minutes, though, I'd imagine the Rockets will have to ship out upcoming FA Courtney Lee (or perhaps Dragic).

JR Smith is not a good dribbler or creator...at all.

And he is dumber than a box of rox.....no thanks.
