What about our trade exception, Walt Williams(Collier if needed) for Allan Houston to play SF....This way, the Knicks can use the exception to sign Mo Taylor.....Nobody has that much cap space that they would want to offer MO, and we improve our situation at the 3....

    OR....

how about, we send the Sonics our trade exceptions, KT/Rogers, and drew for Vin Baker (who is looking in good shape...for real this time).....They get Mo, Mo's starting place....we get Vin Baker......

If we get Baker than we won't be under the cap next year. The best bet is to go after Allan [IMG]

If we get Baker , we would need to be under the cap because we would have our PF and then we can draft a C.

Allan Houston is an over-hyped,ball-hogging, no-defense, whinning-about-playing-time primadonna.

We already have one of those...Cuttino. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] j/k

    The Menace

Ahem ......... I will be nice here ...... despite his poor shot selection and attempting to repeatedly cram a round ball through square spaces (the "ball hoggin'" charge) Catman has got to be one of the least selfish players in the league. He is very upbeat and positive and a team player. Definitely not the whiner and generation X'er (me first) attitude you alluded to .......

yeah, right. two guys who can't make the knicks' roster for alan houston.

you guys kill me with your bizarre evaluations of the rockets' "talent." williams is a complete scrub, and collier was a hoax draft pick to keep the rockets from having to sign a real player.

Since LA is under the cap, the exception won't do them a bit of good. I will say as a side note that they just about pulled off the NBA rape of the season in the "King Kong trade". I don't see them giving up anything less than Houston's worth.

Gee, thanks Doxy. I feel very enlightened by your wisdom and intelligence. [IMG]

I had no idea that you can evaluate talent better then CD and Rudy. Les Alexander should fire them and hire you....NOT!

instead of wasting the exception on brad lohaus er miller, and pretending anyone wants jason collier (the subject of the delirious high-post fantasies of you lackeys er einsteins), what about this guy?

    Przybilla leads Bucks
    Special to the Journal Sentinel
    Last Updated: July 12, 2000
Joel Przybilla made his Milwaukee debut with 12 points, a team-high 16 rebounds and three blocked shots as the Bucks defeated the Indiana Pacers, 98-92, Wednesday in the first game of the Atlanta Summer Shootout at Life University in Marietta, Ga.

Przybilla, in his first action since his departure from the University of Minnesota, wasted no time displaying the shot-blocking ability that enticed the Bucks to acquire him in a draft day trade with Houston.

On Indiana's first offensive series, the 7-foot-1 center blocked a Pacers put-back attempt. Moments later, he denied Indiana guard Shannon Smith, who played at UWM, on a drive to the basket.

WOW, back to calling people who do not agree with you lackeys(some things never change). Try expanding your vocabulary. [IMG]

What did Joel do after that game? He did not lead his team in points during the rest of the summer league. He basically disappeared. He was playing against scrubs as well and still could not dominate after the first game. [IMG] [IMG]

Here's the powerful Indiana team Osterbilla got his points and 'bounds off of:

    J. Bender, Primoz Brezec, Jeff Foster, Danny Johnson, Dontae' Jones, Brian Montonati, Frantz Pierre-Louis, Shannon Smith, Wayne Turner, Jaquay Walls, Trevor Winter.

Then for an encore performance he had 6/6. In game 3 (the championship), he did get 10 boards (against Cal Bowdler and Hanno Möttölä among others) but not enough points to get mentioned.

At least in the RMR, Collier went against some REAL rebounders like Dirk Nowitzki 10.8, Ruben Garces 10.3, Shawn Marion 8.6 Robert Traylor 8.2, Ekezie 6.6, Chris Mihm 6.2, and Jabari Smith 5.7.

I think it's a little early to write off Jason Collier.

I got 2 blocks against Indiana guard Shannon Smith yesterday. The Bucks called and offered me a contract - said I was a leading contender to be their starting C.

i've got $20 that says none of you guys can come up with any real stat where jason collier can even hold przybilla's jock. i was excited when they drafted przybilla- a tall guy with skills, ad a 'tude- then they reminded me why they were the scammers and gave him away.

    in general, quite often.

but, for a lottery team trying to scam the taxpayers to buy an arena where only the wealthy can afford to buy tickets, no.

That was not positive at all.

The Rockets have some of the cheapest ticket prices in the NBA, the cheapest ticket being $10. And if you have ever been to the Laptop, you know there is not a bad seat in there.

As for the new arena, I have read your posts in the SOR forum and I still don't think you understand the agreement between the sports authority and the Rockets.

Did you even see Collier play in college???? He averaged over 9 boards per (leading his conference) AND scored 17 ppg AND blocked shots AND was a genuine banger who wasn't afraid to body up in the post.

Apparently those skills will not carry over into the NBA and Pryzbilla's ability to block Shannon Smith makes him an all-star... ok, whatever....

i'm only talking about the arena, in terms of prices. i loved the laptop from day 1 (i was there for the who concert, to give you an idea).

maybe i don't understand the deal. but, what i do understand is the fact the chronicle will lie, and the politicians will sell out. let me give you an example: when the efus was built, mclane promised to spend $1 million on landscaping for it. bandied about in the chronicle. but, in the details, mclane was given the right to veto any particular landscaping plan. so, he has vetoed every plan, thereby not spending $1. the hcsa then agreed to spend more tax dollars to landscape it, since it was barren.

Wasn't the efus built way under budget?
