we would have enough cap space to sign 2 max free agents outright. (Garnett and Allen have expiring contracts)

I meant to add that either Morris or Lee should be taken off if more 09 expiring were added. The extra cap space would allow them to sign good FA(s) in the offseason so they can be competitive for next year. Also Morris is unproven in the league as of now so his value may not be as high as it could be. And whose the other lottery pick you speak of? Thabeet?

I think my lottery pick comment confused him. I meant last years lottery pick Morris as the sweetner. I wouldn't give up any future picks in this deal.

This ranks high on my list of all time dumbest posts on the BBS. Nobody here in Houston likes D Will? Plenty of local fans would love to have him on the rosters, and I don't even know how your personal opinion can speak for an entire city.

"Dwill dont like houston givin the fact hes from texas." WTF is this? That's like someone saying someone from Cali doesn't like L.A. cause they're from Cali.

"Add that to the fact DH don't wanna play here." I'm sorry, but once again, passing off your opinion as fact is stupid.

I get what you sayin, You are right I shouldnt say Facts when clearly it's not, But the vibe I get when he's interviewed after he played the rockets indicates that for me and with Dwight Howard I say he dont wanna come here because we wasnt on his list.

    Indiana trade - Granger
Houston trade - Lee, Patterson, Thabeet(Team Option), 2nd round Minnesota draft Pick

    Houston
    Dalembert
    Scola
    Granger
    Martin
    Lowry

    Indiana
    Hibbert
    West
    George
    Lee
    Collison

Granger gives Houston a better scorer & defender at the 3
with Lee, Indiana move george to his natural position at the 3, and a 2 in Lee.

Amare loves playing in NY, but he obviously is becoming more and more disconnected now that the team has become Melo's. I know there are still fans in NY that appreciate the need for another threat in addition to Melo, and most fell in love when he was beasting last season before Melo's arrival, but I seriously think we could see Amare dealt if the struggles continue and they can't figure out how to play together. (or Phil replacing D'Antoni). Anyway, here's the chance for the superstar everyone here is craving, and I have to think the lineup we can throw out there as a result would at least be formidable if not a bonafide contender.

On NY's side, I know it would be a drastic move given all the hype surrounding the superstar duo, and I'm trying to be objective here (probably over-valuing Scola) but I really think the team would work better post-trade than with Amare. Scola is definitely more adept at playing second fiddle to Melo and Chandler (like Dally) is a great big to play opposite of Luis in the block. Aside from that, CLee gets his chance to become a starter again, and I hate losing him but we may be anyway to another team or at season's end. NY would have to love the potential going forward of a Shumpert/Lee backcourt assuming the kid can be successful turning himself into a PG.

Biggest issue to me isn't who we are losing or how the pieces would fit, but more about if Morey and co would be willing to risk the future on Amare's uninsurable knees, esp after we just closed the book on the Yao/Tmac injury prone era.

HOU trades: Scola + Lee + Thabeet
    NY trades: Amare + Fields

Maybe throw in NY's pick / Twill if needed as sweetener.

    Lowry / Dragic / Flynn
    Martin / Fields
    Parsons / Bud / Morris
    Amare / Patterson
    Dalembert / Hill

Baron Davis / Douglas / Bibby
    Lee / Shumpert
    Melo / Walker / Balkman
    Scola / Jeffries / Novak
    Chandler / Thabeet / Harrelson

Also, Flynn could be packaged instead of Twill. Gives them another young PG who still has potential even though he hasn't lived up to it. Plus he played close by at Cuse and wowed at MSG back in the big east tourney against uconn in the 6 ot thriller. Would make some fans happy up there I have to assume.

I don't know much about the salaries and how that works, but would a Scola for Batum trade (as main part of trade) work? Blazers would have a player with a winning mentality that would create depth on their roster & allow them to 'go small' from time to time with Luis at the 4 and Lamarcus at the 5.

Obviously we would have to package Budinger or TWill to clear out some room at the 3, but, other than big man depth, I think the Rockets roster would be solid. Add someone like Kaman for garbage, and Rockets can make a run in the playoffs this year while possibly obtaining a fairly good pick from the Knicks that could perhaps be used on a future big man.

With the salary Luis is making, I don't think many teams would want to acquire him as a bench player. I don't see Portland giving up Batum for him.

    Scola/Dragic/Budinger/Thabeet for Batum/Felton/Camby

We do it to get Batum and move Jordan Hill to the 4 and we shed Scola's contract. Dalembert/Hill/Batum/K-Mart/Lowry & Camby/P Pat/Parsons/Lee/Felton seems like a really large rotation but how could you not play those 10 players...

Portland only does it if they don't feel like they will match the offers Batum will get and if they actually like Scola, I haven't heard if they have. I think Felton is gone in Portland after this season anyway so we'll take that expiring and give them a chance to sign Dragic to a deal similar to Lowry's and be their starting PG for the next few seasons and Budinger is a cheap wing to backup Gerald Wallace Batum.

Throw New Orleans in with Kaman and we can make a ton of interesting trades happen haha

    Lee, Twill, Scola for: Granger

    http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6010886

Gives us a serious upgrade at the three. Patterson or Hill can start at the four. We could still put together a trade for Kaman so Hill wouldn't have to be the back-up center and could play his true position at the four.

Also, Indiana would be able to play P.George at the 3 and Lee at the 2. Twill might actually be able to crack the rotation on that team too. They'd also get a reliable post scorer of the bench in Scola.

Bored again. three team trade 'tween us, ORL and LAL. What do you guys think about this trade for Olando?

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=85lzvoy

Would the magic go for it? We would also have to throw in the Knicks pick to orlando but what if Lakers also give us 2 future second rounders & a future 1st rounder(maybe ORL would want that pick idk).

Would this trade be realistic if Dwight wanted to go and play with Kobe and Magic had to do something?

    houston trades - k.mart+j.hill+c.bud+p.pat+minny2ndrd
    NOH trades - c.kaman+e.gordon
    Chicago trades - t.gibson+o.asik+Chicago 2ndrd

Houston gets - e.gordon+t.gibson+jimmyButler(from tomball texas and a personal friend of mine(and honestly not worth much(unfortunatly)...)
    NOH gets - k.mart+j.hill+o.asik+c.bud+chicago2nd+minny 2nd+rights to sergio llull(from HOU)
    Chicago gets - c.kaman+p.pat+c.lee

this trade would work(on espn trade machine) if it wasnt for trade exemptions saying gordon and kaman cant be traded together... im guessing that can be bypassed and vetoed... otherwise its a good deal for all involved...

Houston outlook: eric gordon and taj gibson... i love taj's game and underrated potential and eric gordon can easily turn into a star...and a friend of mine(jimmy butler)[from tomball,TX]...!!!)...

NOH outlook: they lose kaman(whose value is decreasing by the hour) and gordon, yet they pick up a offensive stud in martin, and bud, as well as expirings in hill and asik, along with picks...

Chicago outlook: they get three decent two way players in c.lee, p.pat, c.kaman which is upgrade over asik,taj,butler.. not too mentiono thier hurting for a decent SG... IE: C.Lee

i think it is very fair all around... and a very plausible three-way trade... let me know what you think... we keep all first rounds and it seems we upgrade all positions traded... what makes it a good trade is the both other teams seem like they upgrade as-well... if you can find a decent trade were all teams feel like they are winners, is ussually when its a goood trade...

please let me know if you feel any part or any team is being low-balled or any part isnt equal or unlikely(and a reason why)...

im a nerd and i constantly stay on espn trade machine trying to find ways to make use better(probably similiar to daryl morey) and would appreciate some feedback...

thank to those with a respected and informative opinion.....
