Not that I have anything against Americans being lazy After all, your labour productivity is higher than our country. In addition, your country has more advanced form of democracy than ours. Not to mention that, individual rights get respected. In our country, there is a common feeling that individual does not matter as long as it is good for the team. After all, most Japanese would prefer to live in US than Japan. USA
I am not Chinese, but Yao Ming is the biggest thing since Bruce Lee, and I love Bruce Lee.. I mean that!

Here is one. For Houston, Hate the taxi there, costed me 115 bucks from airport to Hotel. So now i hire car. Din't liked the chinese food there, not spicy enough. So i eat steak now. Loved the 1$ per litter beer night. So now i bring my glass with me.
Ancestors are from china. lived in houston 99% oif my life now I am in Indonesia. Loved the rockets since dream stepped in and wore a rockets uniform. I used to piss my uncle off cause he was a lakers fan and that sampson shot really ticked him off when i rubbed it in his face
I was born and raised in Nanjing. Now, I'm studying in Canada. Yao is great! He makes me feel very proud to be a Chinese. I wish him best of luck.
A few comments from a Houstonian: Houston's downtown area suffered a great deal in the past (in common with a lot of America cites) in part because of the rise of the mall (large enclosed area containing multiple stores, restaurants, entertainment, etc. - just in case this is an American term). Very few people had to go downtown - everything that they needed could be found closer to home. An effort has been made to correct this in the past few years. The Astros (baseball team) new stadium is downtown, on one side of the H.R. Brown convention center and the Rocket's new area is being built on the other side. Link to construction site webcam Also, something that many out-of-towners don't realize it that most of the buildings in Downtown Houston are linked with an extensive underground tunnel system. In bad weather (or summer heat!) most of the "street" population will be underground.
Also, the Houston area is very spread out.. The only people that are downtown are the people that work there. You dont go downtown unless you have a specific reason to. The greater majority of the people in the Houston area live outside the 610 loop and commute in to work. It is my understanding that in the cities like Tokyo and London and NY, there are alot more people living in the city itself rather than in far flung suburbs. Especially in cities like NY where there are lots more people living vertically rather than horizontally. You are correct that life moves a little slower here than in other places, we appreciate time to relax and pursue entertainment.(most of us anyway) I just wish more ppl would choose Rockets games as a source of entertainment.
