How many Chinese basketball fan in this BBS? I am a chinese basketball fan.i am from Nanjing,a city near Shanghai. I am proud of Yao Ming.He is the pride of the whole of China . a cute little kid a big man
I am from Nanjing also. I have been living in America for nine years and followed the rockets for nine years.
I am from Nanjing as well, but right now living in Vancouver, Canada. We don't have lots of Rockets game on TV here, so this BBS is a great source. Keep on good work.
I live in Houston and have been a Rockets fan since the days of the 86 playoff run. The Rockets getting Yao Ming was the catalyst that finally convinced my wife to agree for us to go ahead and get tickets to the Rockets this season! Yaaaaay! (Actually she was the one who initiated talking about it after getting calls from the Rockets season's ticket office hehe!)
I am Japanese living in London However, i have been to Houston as a tourist to see NASA. Since then, i supported any organization which is based in Houston. i.e. Astros, Texans. BTW, it was scoarching in Houston. Also, being Japanese, I couldn't understand irregular lifestyle of Houstonians. Overall, i thought it was a cool city.
One more here who wishes Golden State Warriors had drafted Yao. Just because I can see more of Yao's performance.
I'm not a fan of the Chinese Basketball Association, but that's mainly because their games are never on TV in the US. If I could, I would watch because I hear that the guard play is something to see.
What do you mean? could you elaborate? I am always interested to hear what opinions/views "outsiders" have of us...
add me. I am a Student from north China,Living in LA, getting sick of Shaq,Kobe Lakers, lakers' fans, yellow falgs, and everything from "world champion 'laykers"... Too bad I will spend my winter back in China, i cannot go to the game vs Lakers on Jan 17.
I'm Chinese American. My relatives are from Nanjing but I was born in Taiwan. I immigrated to the US at the age of 4. First time I saw Yao was in China when I was there studying abroad. I have been a fan ever since
I am a Chinese Canadian representing Vancouver since 1989... Born in Hong Kong, and raised in both HK and Vancouver... and have a good grasp of all three languages of Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (with some spices of Japanese as well)...
I was surprised to see that downtown was so lacklusture compared to Tokyo. I couldn't see millions of people walking down the street. Also, I found out that Houstonians had very slow pace of life, which is extremely puzzling if you live Tokyo, or London. The pace of life at the former is frantic. Competetion is fierce at any level, even at the schools. Lastly, I was really surprised to many people in the movie theatre at 12-3 in the night. Or adults playing with their kids in the Astroworld on week days.
