Green Eggs and Yao He comes from a land where they say people are small... But even for here you can see he is really quite tall. Either way I can say when he gets hold of the ball He is emphatically, definitley, absolutely not small at all. They said that he couldn't slam the ball down, They said that the good ones would make him a clown. " Too skinny!" the critics cried in every town But now those same critics utter barely a sound. There remains one great big obstacle in his way; That monster named Shaq playing out in L.A. And you just know what the nay-sayers will say If that great big ugly O'Neal has his day... "We told you!" they will chant over and over with glee "You obviously don't know as much as we... " He isn't a great one, he's another Zhi-Zhi! A Chinese Shawn Bradley, you just wait and see!" But about this here fella we've got named Yao Ming I have already noticed a peculiar thing. On those nights against better opponents he'll bring The kind of 'A' game that betokens many a Ring. He never talks brashly, he never talks proud He never relies on the roar of the crowd. But while his words are quiet, his actions are loud, And many who matter are already wowed. But we the fans need to sing a new mantra: Get the ball into Ming and Attackattackattacka! And remember what Chance the Wise has told ya... " Forget about Shaq, he could block Chewbakka!!!!" Apologies to Dr. Seuss, Chance, and any others who may have inadvertantly been incorporated into my childish little rhyme...please don't sue....
Haha awesome! Kudos to the Bard of the Board! Now we expect you to make up one everytime the team or an individual Rocket has a great game!
Very funny...except Zhi Zhi does not rhyme with "see." It is pronounced "zshoo zshoo" or something to that effect. Perhaps changing it to: " He isn't a great one, he's another Bradley! Another Zhi Zhi, just wait and see!"
Definitely catches Dr. Seuss's flavor. Dr. S is my favorite. But what does that have to do with green eggs?
Alau, Chewbakka the Wookiee is the name of the big, hairy alien co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon in the original Star Wars trilogy. But it is spelled Chewbacca..
i always wondered why they insist on calling him 'wang joo joo', in an article about him they said he said it was joo joo but im having a hard time to believe that. after asking enough people in china and also reading his name in chinese, im confident to say its wang zhi zhi (pronounced kind of like 'ger' in german).
Outstanding! Loved it! Very well written. MacBeth is one of the few posters on this board where I look forward to reading all of their posts! Great work! Chris
MacBeth, Methinks thou protestest not nearly enough. Great stuff Keep it coming. Falstaff (aka Dallas Rocket)
