Has this been posted? I think it's a great quote from Adelman about Rubio. “He is unflappable. He missed every shot, and then he makes a big 3 to tie it,” coach Rick Adelman said. “The thing I like about him is that he’s a competitor. He doesn’t back down from anybody and he keeps an even keel. He doesn’t get too high or too low. He just plays. He’s been very good all year. He’s played in the fourth quarter of every game, even when he wasn’t starting. “He’s got a real gift. He’s a great passer in the open court and he’s just a smart player. You’ve got to give him rope and let him go because he’s got that ability. And because of him, we’ve really kind of changed and simplified things we’ve done just to put the ball in his hands. He’s been better than I thought he was going to be.” http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap;_ylt=AonHAYdvsA8D43CbEptvToC8vLYF?gid=2012012012
I like that Adelman recognizes that Rubio is special but thinks people are out of control with the Magic/Pistol Pete/Kidd/HOF'er X comparisons. Level-headedness FTW.
Anyone check out the stats against Utah?? 17 Pts 11ast 4steals!!! and only 2 TO,s in 40 minutes of play!!!
Not sure if serious... Lowry as a rookie 5.6pts/3ast/3.1rbs Rubio as a rookie 11pts/8.5ast/4.6rbs Not even close
He's allowed to have bad games every now and then, those TOs were inexcusable. He's a rookie though, he'll be fine.
Pistol Pete? Come on....he was one of the all time greats, Rubio is not near the player he was.... I mean Pistol could score the ball as well as pass it, more compared to Nash in that regard, but even then you take Pistol over Nash. DD
