Mavs not playing tonight but... [rquoter]Dirk Nowitzki will miss four games with a sore right knee. He won't play again until Jan. 29 against the Spurs.[/rquoter]
Checked to see if they happen to play the Jazz during that stretch and yep, Jazz get to play another team with star player(s) out, ridiculously lucky schedule so far. Padding their record for sure.
Harrington and Gallinari choking on free throws in the last 2 minutes. Melo ties with a 23 ft shot with 1.7 seconds to go. Nuggs need to close it out.
Nuggets/Knicks go further into the Twilight Zone. Andre Miller hits a "prayer" 3 with the shot clock running out and, of all people, Nene hits 2 FTs to tie the game with 9 seconds left. Then after Melo turns the ball over, Andre Miller hits the rim when Corey Brewer was WIDE OPEN on an alley-oop with 0.3 seconds left. Should have been the game right there.
What in the world is wrong with D'antoni and the Knicks? This is like the 5th close game I've seen where Amare doesn't touch the ball AT ALL down the stretch.
D'Antoni needs to be fired. They're just passing it around the perimeter hoping to get a 3pter or a Melo throwing up a miracle shot. Ugly. Amare is invisible. No pass to him at all.
Yeah..this offense is crap. D-Antoni is crap. Knicks should be owning on offense with players like Melo and Amare on the floor...
Part of the blame is Amare though. Considering the Knicks were better before Melo got there I don't see why Amare won't take charge and play like it's his team.
