this all may be true...however you pulled somethin out of nothin there. i dont see anyone here screaming around go hawks win the title <3<3
but i see people cheering for the hawks to win and getting a good playoff spot to finally make it possible for t-mac passin the first round. the t-mac fans around this board(including me) are all excited about seeing him play again at a decent level. even if he isnt able to play many minutes. we are rooting for tracy to finally make it and therefore we are rooting for the hawks to win. its even easier to ride the hawks train since they're in the east and everybody hates the heat. and afterall how cant someone like the hawks, pretty solid team full of likeable guys. i would be more than happy if they win the championship even if t-mac doesnt play or is injured.

btw i been reading some stuff here and you seem to be the t-mac hater no.1 on this board. hate the man if you want to, but he played his ass off in the playoffs year in year out and that's all that matters to me. if you're crying about how he threw the rockets under the bus when announcing his injury, i would go as far as saying you're not a real rockets fan. to hate on a guy who put up consistent superstar stats for like 3 straight years because of that lil' incident is childish. it may be true that he didnt give all he got in the reg season and in practice, but he was there when it counted. yao wasnt. he wasnt the yao we knew most of the times in the playoffs. i still love the big fella for all his efforts though. even though we werent successful it was a good time and loves seeing those two guys play ball together. too bad our supporting cast sucked year in year out until 09, but that was too late.

anyways in that sense go rockets and go hawks ;):p

    I'm right though.

Being a fan of a team is completely different than being a fan of just 1 player.

I'm not trying to define "fan", I'm showing that there is a contrast between fan of team vs fan of 1 player.

True but it doesn't make one any less loyal than the other

He's back to "pre-collision with Deng" level

Playing good, moving well, staying aggressive

Even when T-Mac is playing with starters, he's always calling the plays and who should go where. He seems to have finally embraced his role.

And Tinman, if you think Landry was a more important Rocket than T-Mac, then there's nothing really to say

Ya, and that's why i have it in my signature. It's not because I haven't found a job and i am in debt. It's on my list of things, but it doesn't come up high in my priorities.

When you say someone means so much, you're implying that the other person doesn't mean as much.

Landry was an awesome role player. Loved him in Houston. But he didn't really affect the franchise.

Meaning something to the fans is more than just points, dunks, and adidas shoes. Carl Landry was fearless, he wore his heart on his sleeve, he lost some teeth.

If you mean points and dunks , the other guy meant more. When you mean a guy who plays his heart out ALL THE TIME, Carl Landry for sure is the guy that means more to some fans.
