It is going to be tough. Lakers, OKC, Mavs, Spurs, Clippers, Blazers will be there. Then it is between Grizz, Nuggets, Jazz and us for the remaining 2 spots.
If you go one game further back we had an OT loss to OKC. That was Parsons first game as a starter. Since he has started we're 4 from 6 with 2 OT losses (to OKC and SA). I think there is fair reason for optimism about making the playoffs this season. That won't assuage the anger of the tankers - unless we win the championship they'll be cursing the season. Fact is, we need a star - but as currently built we are simply not going to get a top 3 draft pick without a lot of luck. Let's make the playoffs instead! Morey will wizard us up a star somehow
He already has-Kyle Lowry. Seriously, Lowry's been playing at a superstar level so far, and the cool thing is Kmart, Parsons and Dalembert are stepping up and reaching "scola level". We just need to fix the bench problem and we'll be set. THis is the team that almost won against the Thunder without Lowry, as long as we get the bench problem sorted out we can go to war against anyone.
Unfortunately he is not and never will be. I've never seen anyone so physically gifted and yet so unmotivated. He is living the NBA lifestyle so hard that he will wash out of the league when his rookie contract is up at this rate. I guess someone might take a flyer at him with the minimum wage, but that's it.
