Despite the loss, I am excited about this team more than ever. Just think about next year. This defense is young and legit, and the offense has Schaub coming back.
Schaub, Foster, Andre, Watt, Joseph, Cushing, Ryans, Reed . So, what will the Texans record be next year? Superbowl??

Super Bowl. Anything less is a major disappointment.

I think its safe to say that we've built enough talent on this team to consider ourselves among the elite in the AFC. Therefore, our expectations should be the same as the Patriots, Ravens, Steelers, etc...

The goal is now the Super Bowl.

The thing is, the AFC is wide open. The Steelers and Ravens are both aging. Really, I think the Patriots are the only team in the AFC that can contend with the Texans next year. Who else has the talent? The Ravens, maybe, but they are getting old. Who else?

That's the thing - who knows? What if Peyton comes back 100% healthy? What if the Jets and/or Chargers get their act together? Can Cincinnati build on a 9-7 finish? What about the Titans?

I think it's safe to say they're a top 4 team right now. But things can change quickly. Keep in mind - we were all thinking they were the team to beat in '10, too.........

I think it's a bit different. They won a playoff game ('09 wasn't a playoff year) and we actually have a defense ('10 team lost its best CB, and the D wasn't great in '09...gave up a lot of huge plays).

Also, if NYJ and SD get their acts together, I think we can all agree that they likely would be Wild cards. Titans are likely to lose Finnegan. I can't stand that **** face but he's their best CB. Cincy has a chance to be good. The Colts, even with Manning, are still lacking SERIOUS talent. Mathis, Wayne, Saturday are all probably gone.

NE and HOU will be favored to win the AFC.

We have a pretty difficult schedule but we should at least be a top 2 seed in the AFC.

Which divisions are we playing next season? We may not know the details of which game is when and where, but we should know the teams now, right? Does anyone have that info?

If Peyton comes back with a vengeance, we might not win our division next year. They're going to do something with that D, probably still bottom half of the league, but it will get better. All this talk about Peyton being traded, or won't be as effective with the injury, his brother's team doing quite well in the NFC, he's going to come back and he's going to come back hard.

    Texans
    Patriots
    Steelers
    Healthy Manning Colts

This year, we knocked on the door.

Next year, we're going to beat on it.

In 2014, we're going to kick the son of a b**** in.

My money is on Super Bowl 2014, not 2013.

    If healthy, Super Bowl contenders.

But you never know what will happen in the playoffs, as the Saints and Packers have shown.

That schedule looks decent on paper.

12-4, 13-3 if we remain healthy.

Harder schedule than this year will be bit more challenging, but expectations will be high. Everyone will be looking to go to the playoffs at least.

The good thing, Houston finally has a professional football team with talent, youth, and a personality. The Luv Ya Blue era will always be unique and special, but this team reminds me of it. We have a lot of outstanding young talent and they are characters that the fans like and can identify with. With a tweak here or there this team can become a major contender. Houston is a huge football town and with the Texans "finally" arriving, it will never be the same. Expectations will soar, support will go through the roof, and Reliant will become a feared venue. It has been a ridiculously long and hard road, and I still don't believe in Kubiak, but I do believe in the team.

Must pay Foster and Wade, lock both up. Address the kicking game, really subpar. Hopefully, our punter will be back, poor field position is a real problem. Please give up on the Kareem and Jacoby experiments, they failed, deal with it. And buy, bargain, trade, draft, whatever, for a major wide out with big hands. With our running game a serious vertical threat (AJ and whoever) will make us almost unbeatable.

Luv Ya Steel Blue! We have waited a very, very long time. Make us proud.
