I think he went to some tiny private school for undergrad. The real question is how tall is he. Cause if he is 5'9" or up, the short jokes really don't fit. Not that short jokes fit on the net anyways.

Looks about 5'10" would be my guess. Not particularly short. Normal height. Looks pretty normal. Doesn't look nearly as acidic as his online persona here.

My argument is quite simple but it seems like you are stuck on the wordings. It essentially comes down to proximity, how close is too close? Your usage of the words "out to sea" makes it appear that this happened far away from the Iranian coast, but the Strait of Hormuz is not technically "out to sea". IF it happened in the Arabian sea or the Indian Ocean, I'd understand your argument.

if you look around and cannot see land, the water is salty, and connected to the oceans.....you are out to sea. keep ****ing that chicken if you want though.

That's hilarious, thanks for the laugh.......I guess the Iranians should place some of their navy ships near the Gulf of Mexico and ask everyone to stay away because they are "out to sea". LOL.

no problem on the laugh. It will be even funnier when we have 3 carriers there soon. Try running your 'navy' close to one of those and see what happens.

The Soviet Union used to run ships right up to the internationally recognized limits of US waters all the time. The US never ran practice attack runs on Soviet ships. If they had, I would have no problem with somone calling it moronic and unreasonably provocative. Instead, like adults the US Navy shadowed the Soviet ships from a safe distance.

What the Iranian navy is doing is the equivelent of running up to someone, acting like you are going to throw a punch and saying, "made you flinch". I assume they think it makes them look tough, but instead seems more like the childish act of an impotent fool.

You can't compare the conflict with Soviet Union with the circumstances with Iran, these are two very different animals. Iran is a little 120lbs 14 year old relative to America/Israel which is comparable to a 220lbs 26 year old elite UFC fighter. What strategy is the kid going to take against the adult? He's going to do the I'm tough and I can hurt you routine. But, rationally the adult has got to know this kid is not going to charge at him first. So you've got to take it as you see it.

Anyway I'm not defending what the Iranians are doing, I'm just saying that nobody should be surprised by this (I think they've even done this crap before). Getting all aggressive (as CaseyH has suggested) is not the answer, the US navy took the correct approach by getting in contact with the larger vessel near by and resolving the matter.

"your" navy? I'm not Iranian nor a supporter of Iran. I'm glad you aren't on any one of those ships, its obvious what your response would have been.

^everybody please observe samuel digging up old posts i made to verify something that i directly told him in this very thread.

"explain away" - what are you talking about samuel? i directly told you in this very thread that i went to community college. i never hid that fact, yet you still felt the need to go searching through my old posts to "get me" on it. what a loser!

and 6:12 PM = saturday night? samuel, you responded to me at 7:18 on saturday night, which is actually 8:18 PM on saturday night where you are, right samuel? that is prime time, yet here you were sitting infront of your computer arguing w/ strangers on the internets. poor samuel - once again, all alone on a saturday night.

my advice to you would be to learn how to read samuel. it might save you the time of searching through old posts to find info that i freely provided to you in this very thread.

look where life has brought you samuel - 8 PM on a saturday night, sitting all alone, trolling the internets, trying to call out other posters on something that they directly told you in this very thread. what a sad, lonely life you lead.:(

    wait a minute...samuel went to a "tiny" school!

people on here who have met samuel have noted his short stature. ive never met him, but it explains the napoleon complex he has.

im pretty sure samuel is a munchkin and i base this on 3 criteria.

    1) as samuel likes to remind everyone, he is a lawyer - lollipop guild, anyone?
    2) as other posters have noted, samuel is short
    3) samuel is on record saying 9 PM = late night, which means he is probably very, very old. i mean, my grandma is in her late 80's and would laugh at samuels suggestion that 9 PM = late night.

but the real question is why you are coming to samuels defense here? samuel is not interested in discussing the thread topic, rather his primary interest here has been trollin' and trying to argue w/ me.

and why is it that you dont seem to have a problem w/ samuel bringing up others personal lives, but you have a problem w/ others responding in kind?

This could be good (to decrease tensions with Iran), or this could be bad. For example, if Washington knows Israel is going to strike Iran and doesn't want the exercises going on when that happens (implausible deniability), or Israel has been told bluntly not to do it, and replied by postoning the exercises, intending to do it anyway. These two scenarios seem unlikely. One would think US forces and equipment in Israel would be a plus for that country if it strikes Iran, not the other way around, and a plus for the US if they are involved in the strike, were there a strike against Iran's nuclear facilities. Guess we'll see what happens. I sure hope some sanity appears in Iran. Not holding my breath.

    Joint U.S.-Israel military exercise postponed

(Reuters) - The United States and Israel have postponed an upcoming joint military exercise until later in the year, but sources in both countries denied on Sunday that the move was taken to avoid further escalating tensions with Iran.

The air-defense drill, named "Austere Challenge 12," is expected to be the largest exercise between the two allies, who regularly hold joint military maneuvers.

The Pentagon said it was scheduled for the spring, but now would take place in the second half of 2012.

Israeli media reports originally said it was cancelled due to budgetary constraints. But some pundits speculated that the real reason was fear of creating further friction with Iran, which is showing signs of deepening isolation over its refusal to halt nuclear activity.

A U.S. official denied that tensions with Iran were a factor and an Israeli security source cited logistical problems. Both sources spoke on condition of anonymity.

"It's for a host of reasons, mainly logistical, but not the reason you cited (tensions with Iran)," the Israeli source said.

Pentagon spokesman Navy Captain John Kirby played down the delay, saying it was not uncommon for routine exercises to be postponed.

"There were a variety of factors at play in this case, but in general, leaders from both sides believe that optimum participation by all units is best achieved later in the year," Kirby said.

I am not sure where he went to school. I might be wrong about it.

Also I am not coming to his defense. I THINK he is talking about me when he said someone wanted to fight him and they had a tale of the tape but I didn't want to ask. It would suck if I really got trolled that hard. I just want a good internet internet feud and my guess was he is not really giving a crap about short jokes and to me it doesn't really work well in text form.

whatever school samuel went to, they certainly did not teach him basic reading comprehension skillz.

    it seems like you are.

so short jokes dont really work well in text form, but jokes about ones college education, drinking habits and what time of day they post do?

My going-out-on-saturday-night phase is done and dusted due to the amount of doghouse time it gets me (to tell you the truth, I much prefer day-drinking anyway; way more fun) . . . there's still hope for you though.

    You gotta ask yourself:

What am I doing arguing on the internet with someone who's screen name is Jo Mamma. Is my time and energy that expendable?

Unfortunately, I think you're gonna find that this might be your past time or hobby. And since it's harming no one, that's ok. But let's put this in perspective first.
