Don't think NJ would do Scola, K-Mart, Hill, Bud + Knicks pick for Deron. But.....they might be interested in Scola and Lowry plus a pick for Deron if they figure he is leaving in free agency.

K-Mart + Flynn for Iggy is a trade that may could have been made last season. I wasn't on board with getting Iggy for KMart at that time. Felt like that was a lateral move. Still not convinced that Iggy really helps us that much now.

    Back atcha. ;)

Thank god lowry doesn't do that. Several times this season he's been close to a triple-double and you don't see him making a spectacle out of himself.

I had always thought that Blatche would be a great pickup. After the past 2 years, he has proved himself to have far too large of an ego.

    (a) because they want to ditch Blatche and his 4 year $30million deal

    (b) because Kevin Martin is having a bad year, but has better numbers across the board than Young. Martin is a genuine 'NBA scorer' who can get his own shot (and really open up the lanes for John Wall to develop with his range). Young is an 'above average player' who isn't really spectacular in any way!

The better question is "why on earth would Houston do this?" - and the answer might be found in defence and 'other scoring'. Young is a far superior one on one defender (who isn't!) and when Lee returns, Houston would have a variety of scoring options at the 2 spot. In the end, it would be all about the pick I suppose!

Yes he really bad... He is an absolute cancer on and off the court. He is selfish, does not care about his team or winning. He does not follow instructions on the floor, his spacing is terrible, he does not go to the right spot on the floor, he does not run plays and let's players get position on him. Further, he has a long term contract at a fairly high amount... and best yet there is very little chance he improves.

They won't be willing to surrender that but if they did I'd give them Scola in a heartbeat. That way the tanking front can get their way and we get two high lotto picks.

Good move if we are tanking, Blatche and Nick Young are two of the most inefficient players in the league.

Personally the only valuable thing is the pick swap but we take on two head cases and a huge contract

Tell you what. Blatche is just the kind of guy that could go to a team like the Lakers and turn it around. Lakers could take him on with their TPE if they decide to do Bynum/Pau for Dwight. And he'd probably start really balling as the 4th or 5th option behind, Kobe, Dwight, Hedo, Artest, etc.

That's what arjun was implying. The rockets have nothing worth the top pick the wizards will get. However, if the organization is as dumb as they seem they just might bite. It would still be an awful move on their part.

That's actually a great idea. Blatche actually has talent. He can score from various areas on the court and has the potential to be a decent defender. His problem is decision making. Being on a team like the lakers, with superstars, has a way of humbling guys. He'd probably accept the role of taking only wide open set jumpers and doing some hustle plays as he would never get off the bench unless he did.

Channeling Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza. You might could throw Cedric Ceballos and Pau Gasol in there. Not necessarily troubled players, but for some reason their games improved, when they arrived in LA, though for different reasons.

Blatche would be good or decent on a team that's already established or has good leadership. Moreover, he'd be going to a team where he knows he is not even 2nd or 3rd biggest star, which might make him play basketball more efficiently and concentrate more on things, besides padding numbers.

Now, he'd be terrible for Houston, too much development going on. Though 3 to 4 years ago, he might've been decent, since there level headed players and stars on the team with pretty good coaches. I doubt Adelman or Van Gundy would tolerate Blatche antics for very long, so he would shape up or be shipped out.

LA might be a good fit, especially if they give up the house for Howard.

Exactly. Plus Flip Saunders. Wizards need to re-boot if they expect John Wall to stay.

They desperately need Jan Vesely to pan out. OHHMS said he was better than Blake Griffin, so hopefully he is right...
