I've liked how they've played in some games but games like the Bobcats game are nearly unwatchable.

I'm a bit conflicted, I always want my team to win but being in the middle of the pack, just outside of the playoffs and 10-15 in the draft does nothing for us.

I'm OK with it. It is painful to watch some the games, but it also makes you realize that we are still missing that star player, and our best chance to get one is through the draft. I like seeing the development of some of our young guys like Hill and Parsons, and Kyle Lowry is becoming the leader of the team, which bodes well for the future.
I'm against straight tanking because they need to maintain their competetive edge, but letting the young guys scrap against the good teams and coming up a lottle short is not so bad in the long-term.

The only thing I couldask for is to play the youngs more. If that means less time for 4 and 12, then whatever

Not tanking - just not playing Martin and Scola too many minutes or trading them even better.

That's not tanking. Let them play hard. let them compete. I agree. But make it a priority to develop younger guys and rebuild. And yes, accept losing as part of that process.

They aren't getting paid to lose on purpose. They are getting paid to do a job. And everyone should do their job to their best of their abilities AND to support the best interests of the company they work for.

The best interests of the Rockets is to finish at the bottom of the league.

It will be interesting for me considering i live in sac and get the broadcast tonight. I always root hard for my rockets to whoop up on the Kings but considering what is at stake this season and how in my opinion we should do what is necessary for a high draft pick i will not be disappointed if we lose.

What were your expectations coming into this season, with a new coaching staff, new system, no off season, and a shortened training camp and preseason?

Not to mention the strength of schedule the first 10 games.

Sounds weird, but it's true. The difference between picking at 5th and picking at 10th might come down to just two or three worthless victories.

What kind of dumb thread is this? No, Im happy with being 3 - 7.

3-7 is exactly where Morey projected this team to be a couple weeks ago on an interview with 610. They had a few games where they played terrible, and two games that came down to the wire and could have gone either way.

The Rockets could very well have been sitting pretty with a 5-5 record after going through one of the toughest 10 game stretches that any team will see this year. Its just the way it is.

Baring major Injuries, this team should still do well enough to be contending between the 6th and the 9th seed in the West.

Neither poll option is acceptable. Tanking is unacceptable, and the Rockets are doing okay considering the strength of schedule they've had so far. I would've liked to see them be 4-6 or better at this point, but I still think they can make the playoffs at 3-7.

Why do y'all wanna make the playoffs so bad? To get embarrassed in the 1st round, and get a lousy pick in the late teens, early twenties? That should be great for the team, long term.

why make the playoffs...? to lose in first rd again...? lose our draft pick for this years uber talented class...? to make you feel better about rooting for a team that isnt that good but somehow squeeked out a playoff spot...?

i agree with the sentiment of not giving up and tanking.... just trade scola and martin... and continue to try and win and make the roster starting spots wide open.... let the players compete with each other to prove themselves and try and earn it....

We do this a few things will happen IMO....

courtney Lee proves that he deserves to be a starter and a decent contract to be re-signed...

Ppat gets more time thus makin the next step in his development, becoming a solid nba starter...

we end the season with a bottom ten record for the lottery... and when it comes to the lottery you could finish 6,7,8,9,or 10 and land in the top 5 pretty easily....

Heres to losing our veterans and moving forward....

    No, absolutely not.
btw, this situation is not created to have high draft pick, rather it is a result of "hard works" by Morey.

I feel like the Rockets are playing pretty well for the situation at hand. K mart is adjusting to the new fouling rule along with being in a shooting slump, but other than that everyone has contributed quite nicely. I feel as fans we are in a tough predicament of cheering to win close games and being a mid 1st round pick again or purposely loosing games (which nobody likes to see) to gamble and hope we draft the next great thing that will save our franchise ala D Rose. Am I happy we are in last place, HELL NO! Do i want another mid 1st round pick? HELL NO. Would I like to draft the next D. Rose, Lebron, D Howard? HELL YES.

I'd like to see us get a pick, but it's cringe worthy to watch us lose.

I think I sympathize more with incompetent teams getting picks because of it, it's an apology by the team for a ****ty product.

They are who I thought they are..(One of the worst, and youngest team with a lot of raw talent that needs developed, and lack the big down low to really compete)
The record and games I've watched still show that. And yes I've watched them all(adthe.com still works) and yes they stay in games but we still lack size. And still do not have a reliable fourth quarter closer. Albeit Lowry has shown flahes in the pan of being that guy.

So overall this team will play hard and compete but in the end their record will probably reflect them correctly. they probably wont win more than twenty five games. And will probably end up with a pick between 5-10. Quite possibly 1-3 three if the bad records are so close. Which I think they will be we might end up with a top three pick.

To enjoy watching gritty players play with heart and leave it out on the floor, win or lose.
