Any of you have sidekicks that are worthless? I have a tank that gets one-shotted by higher-level draugr, for example. This is not good in close quarters when I am a glass canon of a destruction/conjuration/resto mage. At least my frost atronach helps. I know there is some bug out there that causes your sidekick not to level correctly. I kind of hate to get rid of Jordis, too.
Now that I have my super enchanted legendary Daedric armor, I don't bother with companions anymore. I just plunge ahead and blast everything with destruction magic. Having 500+ hp helps too.
I'm playing a pure mage... so no armor for me other than robes and circlets that boost destruction. I think I have 160 Health. lol.
It's not that bad. I'm avoiding using most armor simply because the game has finally gotten to be a bit of a challenge in some dungeons. It forces me to use strategy instead of blasting away with no fear of dying. I usually play battle mage or warrior type characters, but this has been kind of fun. What really makes it difficult is that my follower is all of a sudden a wuss against higher-level characters, so I've finally had serious trouble finishing 1 or 2 quests because of it, but it's still been fun trying to figure out how to kill the "bad guy(s)" when your tank is worthless, your atronach can be turned against you (like against dragon priests), and your armor sucks. lol.

On the topic of mods, this is old but awesome: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gQTV43g-hAo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Regarding companions, I chewed through them almost every 'boss' fight and it was pissing me off. I've finally settled on Mjoll though (Nord Warrior from Riften, must complete quest) as she seems to be unkillable. If you guys need more companions you should look into starting the quest where you can acquire Barbaras the dog (found in Falkreath) and just never complete the quest, he is unkillable also. Finally there's Shadowmere but that's a horse and won't be able to go with you in dungeons (also unkillable, to acquire must complete some Dark Brotherhood quests).

Shadowmere is killable, he's just a beast with rediculous HP, almost impossible but he can die. I love this horse, he beats you to the fight, and looks totally badass. Barbas is unkillable, but he becomes a pain in the butt pushing you around. I don't use any compainions, i used to use them as pack mules, but i've got so much money i don't concern myself with loot too much. Can't use my master destruction spells with them in the way. I got the dragonscale armor and 100% magic reduction enchantments blastin away. Or I wipe them out with my duel daedric swords that both do over 250 damage. Enchanting is wicked overpowered. Over 150 hours, thats 6 full days of my life, and i havent done anything to actually advance the storyline in any significant way.
There's a fortify smithing enchantment, enchant 4 items and you can increase your smithing 100% (ring, necklace,armor,gauntlets) Also Drink a fortify smithing potion before you improve your weapons. With the armor and the potions combined effects your smithing can increase as much as 130%

Spoiler During the Dark Brotherhood quest line, you eventually target the Emperor himself. Along the way you personally face off against some high ranking members of the Imperial Legion. Will they kick you out of the Imperial Legion as a result? What consequences are there for offing the Emperor with regards to the Empire and Imperial Legion?
On 360 sometimes when I hit B to go into the menus, it freezes and I can't press up/down/left/right to go to where ever I want. I can back out, then try again (sometimes it works the next time, a couple of times I have had to try a third time). Anyone else experienced this or know a way to fix it? Tried clearing out all but my last ten saves (no luck).
