The lineup got released today. It is totally crap-tastic, as usual. ZZ Top is the only act I would even think about seeing, but since I've seen them about a gazillion times, it looks like I'll be passing on this years HLSR as usual. Feb. 28 -- Alabama Feb. 29 -- Kid Rock March 1 -- Lady Antebellum March 2 -- John Legend March 3 -- Luke Bryan March 4 -- Big Time Rush, China Anne McClain from A.N.T Farm, the McClain Sisters March 5 -- Eli Young Band March 6 -- Enrique Iglesias March 7 -- Blake Shelton March 8 -- ZZ Top March 9 -- Reba McEntire March 10 -- Chris Young March 11 -- Go Tejano Day with Duelo, La Original Banda El Limon March 12 -- Zac Brown Band March 13 -- Miranda Lambert March 14 -- The Band Perry March 15 -- Jason Aldean March 16 -- Train March 17 -- Brad Paisley March 18 -- Alan Jackson I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.
The HLSR is about drawing the most people, it's not about catering to music aficionados. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
Ummmm, its a rodeo. Accordingly, they would have some of the most popular country singers around. Not sure what you are b****ing about
Don't hate on Eli young band. My friend has been doing sound for them a long time. All very nice guys.
When was the last time there was somebody actually worth seeing? I remember I saw Steve Miller Band in 04 or 05 and that was pretty cool, but a few days after, I saw the surviving remnants of Lynyrd Skynyrd and felt like my time was better spent singing the songs myself.
Eli Young, is from Tomball, originally, I believe. I would go see Zac Brown Band in a heartbeat. Those guys are pretty awesome musicians. I don't care what anybody says.
It does seem like the Rodeo has given up on reaching out to the non-country demographic after trying for a few years. Sucks big time that Kid Rock, ZZ Top and Train are the rock acts. Zac Brown and Eli Young are pretty worthwhile, but I've seen enough ZBB that a Rodeo 80 minute quickie set isn't going to draw me in. Be awesome if they broke out Killing in the Name though. Lady Antebellum has mildly surprised me - they're better live musicians than I figured.
It's not even 80 minutes. I saw them last year (they were GREAT) but they only played for maybe 40 minutes. I'm still down for seeing Kid Rock and ZZ Top though.
Well I guess it's crap b/c the George Strait rumors were false but other than that pretty decent lineup I'll probably go to atleast half of those shows....
Not even a good Disney/nickelodeon act. Big time rush? Please. More like big time suck. Wonder how much Justin beiber tickets would have gone for. Bring back Duran Duran.
Did anybody elses heart skip a beat when they saw the bolded word? Oh well....at least Justin Beeber or Taylor Swift aren't playing this year. Bring back Black Heritage Day. I want to see some Earth Wind and Fire!!
