I swear to God, the sky was YELLOW on my way to work today. How is that even a thing that can happen?
I was about to make a thread but the lightning and thunder is crazy on the north side. It is rumbling for a minimum of 5 secs at a time and it is loud! I have never seen anything like this.
We hardly ever get thunderstorms in the Northeast like you guys do in Houston. Especially during the winter. I live close to an airport, and last week, I heard a rumble. It took me about two minutes to figure out it was thunder, and not a plane.
it was insane around town and country. around. 9 am. got a little worried for a couple of min. rotating clouds
Girlfriend just called, said she's on I-10 at the Beltway, 20 cars in front of her are flooded and traffic is standing still. Flash flood fail
It's funny looking out my window in Midtown. The intersections here always get really flooded in heavy sustained rain because they drain a bit slow, so it's always entertaining to watch cars attempt to fjord the pseudo rivers. Currently, I see 5 cars and a Metro bus stuck, with many more having made it into nearby parking lots. Here's the view.
