I like this list. I also like the OP, A3po, durvasa, bima, Tinman and mostly all 99ers and other members who have been around a while.

Nothing wrong with DD. He is a Rockets fan and always looking for the good in Rockets players until they become so bad he can't take them anymore (TMac). Perception can outway the facts and he gets caught in defending facts against negitive perception sometimes which means his view is not always the popular one. Plus he posts so much he sometimes contradicts himself and tends to fall in love with his own arguments. Overall though he is a Rockets hardcore fan and I appreciate him as that.

flippedfk has got to be the worst poster here by far.

    Obviously Bimathug.

Durvasa is great for statistical analysis.

    Also JCDenton.

I think DaDakota sometimes provides a good analysis but he also seems to get off to getting a rise out of people.

these are some of the names mentioned:

    bimathug
    hsf09
    clutch
    batkins
    a3P0
    jpatmc
    durvasa
    leebigez
    napalmblack
    hayesfan
    tmac1
    alliot
    nikestrad
    thecat
    tinman
    moes
    deckard

i agree that most people on the fansite are knowledgeable and are loyal to the team. the only time people really get riled up is when members make certain claims, don't back it up with logical arguments and then self-proclaim themselves as experts on the issue.

Another poster I used to really enjoy was Gator. He got so jilted after the Gay for Battier trade though he basically through in the towl. I see him pop up occasionally but not as much as he did a several years ago.

tinman can get emotional when it comes to Tracy, but for everything else he's solid on info.

Thanks, but absolutely not. I'm like 10 tiers down. I prefer to lurk in most big threads. My post count is mostly from dropping 2 cents in a thread; I rarely post anything super insightful that requires more than 4-5 posts in a thread.

But still, I'm a fan of pretty much all the big personalities around here (outside of D&D). I like people who add something other than post-count to the boards. They don't have to be extremely wise, unusually funny, or anything - they just have to be capable of reasonable conversation. OHMSS even qualifies. It's a pretty minimum standard. The people who post really often with nothing to say (esp. the day after games) are the ones that get on everyone's bad side.

there should be a category for DD, he has some insightful contributions every now and then, but he'd rather make dumb comments/blame coaching staff than give up on his fave players- V-Span comes to mind off the bat.

Everyone hated Ariza after that one season.
I was Ariza's hugest supporter until about mid-way through the season.

Well, he was right. I almost got sick when I heard the news. The draft was right after my 18th birthday and I thought Gay landing to us was a late birthday present from Jesus.

I mostly contribute to the Hangout, which isn't saying much :(

Also the poster "insider" who posts in cryptic messages. What was his name? Was it Popeye?

My vote for best tongue-in-cheek humor on the GARM & DISH goes to Carl Herrera.
