While we are all optimistic that we can find an answer at 4 next year through the draft or free agency, we could've had it in Mo Taylor. And something tells me he could've been a Rocket a week ago. We let him wait around, not calling him or working something out with the Clips. We could've at least released Shandon, Steve, and Cuttino to hound him over the phone, make him really feel wanted. Maybe they did all this, but from the lack of updates and news it seems like it was just a quiet recruiting war on all sides. ------------------
That was not the Rockets fault. It was Falk's. The Rockets could not contact Mo, all communication went to his agent. ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
To be honest we didn't have the strongest bargaining position for Mo. We had nothing to offer the clips as a sign and trade package - from all reports they wouldn't have done one anyway, plus we are not a playoff team which would put us behind seattle in the bargaining. The only flaw in Seattles campaign was that they had Baker as the incumbent PF, but since they cleared him out it seems that Mo will go! Oh well, at least now we don't need to be grumbling about Mo's pathetic rebounding all year ------------------
