After 15 games, what do you see for the Rockets for the rest of the Season?

Even though they are the 4th best team in the west right now, they haven't played like it the whole time. I still can't see the Rockets win their share against Sacramento, Dallas, A loaded Lakers, or even the Spurs. Once the Rockets beat some of those team with their key personnel, I'll increase my expectations of them.

The Rockets right now are looking like a 45 win team. Solid enought to win most if not all of their games against the lower tier teams. Good enough to win more than they lose against the 2nd tier teams like the Suns, Blazers, Jazz, Wolves, Hornet, Magic, etc.

Griffin has fallen apart in the offense. Yao is still to weak to take over from the center position for more than a quarter. Thomas is hogging the ball even when he doesn't have a clean shot. And Mobley never turns down a shot.

But for this team to make a solid challenge, at least Griffin has to start playing like he's supposed to. Make the wide open shots!!!!

45-37 is very good in my book. Is it good enough for a playoff berth? Well, we'll soon find out.

I see the Rockets doing about a 6th or 7th seed. Their Record could be alot better right now if it wasn't for their 4th quarter collapses but thats history. And they get back Cat back soon they need him bad he will provide the spark that theyve been missing on offense. They will start to win those games by the end of they year. If the Rockets manage to pull off some W's over the next week against these top tier teams by expectations will increase a little bit more. Maybe a 4th or 5th seed. I will be really dissapointed if the team misses the playoffs all together but I dont see that happening as long as Franchise remains healthy.

Its true we have not been playing like the team that we are. At least not for all 4 periods, BUT of all the teams that I have been watching I see the Rockets with the most potential to do nothing but get better and better throughout the season. Confidence in he fourth is low now but they will start to get it back once they realize that they are as good as they are. God willing, if everyone stays healthy and happy I see us landing the 5th spot, I have no idea how this team will do in the playoffs, because we have yet to see them play a post season game. But rest assured the rest of the league is beginning to respect us...something we have been missing for a long time...

Z, you show a very one-sided outlook. First our second best scorer is on the injured list. That is a factor you should mention. You did not mention that the team has introduced a zone that has been effective and should get better. You did not mention that the team is 4th in the league in defense points allowed and fg %. You did not mention that a rotation and starting lineup is still being worked out. So what are you trying to do if you left all that stuff out? Does it mean that to you these things do not matter? How many games have you seen? It seems like your all access to the rockets is this board and the game chat. If it is then we can excuse you.

You will realize that it is not even christmas. The playoff is not for another five months. I have seen all the games and have seen some more than once. Unreservedly, I believe Rudy, CD and the players are pleased with where they are sitting now. We are two FTs from being 10-6. We are top ten in pt differential, and top 4 in defense. We were not supposed to be at this point this early. This is a "work in progress" team with a lot still to happen. Contrary to popular belief, EG is not lost for the season. He will be back and back strong enough. Ming, as a factor, will get even better and so will Cato, and Rice, and KT and MoT and Moochie and Tmo. We are still walking the ball up. That will change.

SO relax yourself and enjoy the ride. Do not feel bad, Feigen did not think they would be here either. Check out what he wrote earlier:

    October/November: Taste of wild West
    15 games (6 home, 9 road)
The Rockets will not have time for poetry anyway. After beginning the season at Indianapolis and Denver, they end November with a four-game Western road swing. Before that, they get the Lakers in Los Angeles on Nov. 17, the latest proposed date for Shaquille O'Neal's season debut and his planned introduction of his elbow to Yao's schnoz.

Still, there are a few road wins in there and a soft home schedule.

    Predicted record: 7-8
