It seems that the hootstv.com family realy love Steve. There is another article about him at the summer league in D.C. This article tells how Wink was put up against a playground legend to battle crossovers. He got Steve, but then they say Steve SNAPPED his ankles. I was also impressed with the list of players Steve had on his summer league team.(Moochie Norris, Jahidi White, Jerome Williams, Cat Mobley, and Walt Williams) I was very surprised to hear the Wizo played. They interviewed him in the video and his fro is getting crazy! It is not like Moochies' yet though. http://www.hoopstv.com/htv1797.html ------------------
I want Steve to go against Al in the battle of the Crossover. Now that would be something to see. Thanks for the highlights djones.
yo djones good lookin out for the fro ------------------ Lookin at a 75 year old man in a thong: NASTY Lookin at Shaq hit free throws: "O SH**!"
Allen's cross is probably better, although he carries and palms the ball sometimes. ------------------ "See they pick and pick and pick. Man they picked me to death." -Steve Francis on the Utah Jazz
I know but that would be a bad ass one on one game. Do you think Francis could have crossed Jordan like Allen did?
I think Steve could probably do that to Jordan, maybe. Iverson did that to Jordan when Jordan was older and a little slower than he was. But Iverson did cross him up badly. But I still laugh when I think of what Stevie did to Troy Hudson. ------------------ "See they pick and pick and pick. Man they picked me to death." -Steve Francis on the Utah Jazz
There's only one time I've ever seen a human get abused as bad on the basketball court as badly as Troy Hudson was that play. That was back during the first couple of years Jordan was here and the Celtics asked Larry Bird to guard him. Bird's defense on that play looked more like he was being electrocuted. Arms flailing, legs flying, hands reaching for things that weren't there... sad, sad, sad. Oh wait... then again, there was what Hakeem did to Da Admrul in the playoffs. They're still looking for the disintegrated remains of David's jock. ------------------ Just shut up and post [This message has been edited by Dr of Dunk (edited August 20, 2000).]
dr of dunk- the worst abuse i ever saw was pippen's monster dunk on ewing, when he rubbed his crotch in ewing's face on the floor. ewing's been a gimp ever since. ------------------
Yeah Hudson got crossed big time. Thats the first time I've seen a player jump in the air after getting crossed LOL. But like DOXY said when Pippen dunked on Ewing and then put his **** in his face.... that was just pure domination. Another person who was posterized was Sabonis. I was at that game and saw the alley coming and when Stevie caught it and sat on Sabonis neck the crowd went nuts. Stevie said that Sabonis said SLASH SLESH SLASH when he was on his neck LOL. Stevie was trying to speak Russian.
ps and, objectively, vc's dunk on the entire rockets' team to win the game in toronto will make the highlight reel for years to come. ------------------
What Francis did to Hudson was just PLAIN SICK. Nothing even compares to it... not the Iverson cross, not the Jordan doin Larry Bird, not the Hakeem fake on David Robinson. ------------------ president of the dan langhi fan club.
A couple of other sick things that happened were against Dikembe "Mt." Mutombo. I still am amazed when Camby flew in the air and dunked it in Mutombo face in the '99 playoffs. Also when Vince dunked on Dikembe, that was pretty sick too. John Starks also had a mega dunk on three Bulls when he was with the Knicks. ------------------ "See they pick and pick and pick. Man they picked me to death." -Steve Francis on the Utah Jazz
Ok so instead of starting a new thread lets just continue this one... Greast emabarassment on the court, or biggest facial on the court. That Pippen Dunk on Ewing is about a lifer Hate to say it but that KJ Dunk over Hakeem where Hakeem goes up, but KJ just keeps on climbing, climbing, climbing and dunks all over Hakeem as Hakeem went crashing to the court was a bad one. Iverson breaking Jordans ankles There was this Kemp dunk, but I cant remember against who. He got an alley oop pass, grabbed it with one hand, and it was way behind his head. He snatched it up and Tomahawked it with a defenders arms all in his mug. Which leads me to... Everyone remembers that Jordan layup, where he goes up right handed, switches hands to the left and finger rolls it. Right? And its always been replayed and hyped as a great move. Thing is, am I the only one on EARTH who noticed that this move was completely uneccesary? Not one defender went up with him. I just dont get the replayability of this move. Francis ------------------ "I have amazing, powers of observation"...Pink
Ok. I'll play How about the Jason Williams move where absolutely embarrassed the Glove? Williams is coming down the court. Payton in front of him in a slight crouched position. Williams dribbles the ball up high to his chest and starts to raise up as though he's going to shoot the jumper. Payton immediately responds by jumping out on him. Williams comes back down with his dribble and just blows by him. Another great thing about the move is that he then has to go **high** of the glass as another defender attempts to come over and block the shot. What I'll always remeber was the shot of Payton left in the dust, turning around, kneeds and ankles still buckling and watching Williams fly to the hole! Incredible move! ------------------ Tom Archer www.sourcedna.com [This message has been edited by Tom Archer (edited August 21, 2000).]
d-shake, That move that Jordan made against the Fakers was a great move. He actually thought someone was going up to contest it. That is why he didn't dunk it. The great thing about the play was the hang time. All of the "facial" moves are unneccessary because they really should stop and pop. That is just apart of the game. My vote goes to Dream's total dominace over D.Robinson in the playoffs. Not just the fake move, but the entire series. He did it all. Also the Rockets free throw "mean-mugg 'em" defense against Nick "THE BRICK" Anderson. I also have to give KJ love for the dunk on Dream. However it is canceled out by the block that Dream put on him. Remember...KJ was all alone for a for sure 2 points...then all of a sudden out of the no where comes the big guy running the court to block the shot and almost take KJ's head off! ------------------
I got one. How about when McGrady dunked on Cornell David in 99 I believe. I think McGrady dunked on him so bad that he fell down and got a standing ovation in Chicago. And another one is Jason Williams dunking on Mario Elie. That game was on TNT last year.
LilFrancis, on the Mcgrady dunk, it was cool how after he dunked on David, he pointed at David and kind of posed, as Kornel was on the ground. ------------------ "See they pick and pick and pick. Man they picked me to death." -Steve Francis on the Utah Jazz
I think you are talking about when McGrady dunked on Joe Smith and pointed but when he dunked on Cornell David he did the Mile High Salute. Another sick one was when Francis dunked on Big Country. Man I swear he took off from the 3point line almost LOL.
I tried to post this earlier, but i'm not sure if it appeared. Anyhow, I saw steve francis and Cuttino Mobley at Fonde today. I asked steve.. "who's Troy Hudson." and he said he didn't know... his friend said something..but i'm not sure if he knew what i was talking about.. Where's this clip you're talking about? btw, steve and cat won a game and then lost the next with a score of 5-2. I was psyched when i heard cat on his cell callin' steve to come down... also in the house-- shandon anderson, othella harrington, bo outlaw, nick van exel, and some other dudes. =) dangit, i wish i had my camera. hell, perhaps i shoulda asked for an autograph, but i think a handshake's more polite. they're all pretty coo.. 'cept i think cat has a really big ego. which is both good and bad..anyhow. talk to ya'll latez -elie17 ------------------ Oh.. so this is how you add a signature huh? coo coo.
