That's the point. They've been little more than average for most of the last 20 years yet they talk the loudest, always just a draft choice or a coaching change away from the Super Bowl in their opinion. Next to the term 'living in the past' in the dictionary is Cowboy Fan...
I know Flyer Fanatic and Hayesfan are Bengals fans as well. Saturday afternoon can't get here fast enough!
Considering before this season they had sold out over 50 games in a row for a team that is usually mediocre at best.......u cannot knock the fan base. Cincinnati is a vibrant sports town. Keep in mind the Cincinnati Reds were the first team in MLB. They are also on the come up.
Yeah, Bengals fan has never been the hard-to-find rare specimen that, say, Rangers fan was for decades. The Bengals don't normally have anything in town to overshadow them. Not since the Big Red Machine, anyways.
Lol I have some die hard Cowboy's fans coworkers. It was really nice coming in today to their blank stares and zipped shut mouths. I tried not to rub it in to much but couldn't resist saying something!
meh, just ignore the good-natured ribbing (and especially ignore the trollish ribbing). Smack talk is all in good fun. I've never thought of the Bengals and "tigger paint". Stoked my funny bone a bit.
I remember back during the Wyche-Esiasion days, there was a somewhat intense -rivalry between the Glanville oilers and the Bengals. Actually everybody in the AFC central kind of hated each other back then.
Exactly, Sam. The hate was still there in the run-n-shoot days. Nothing like kicking Cincy's ass. But the only franchise I can gather any hate for anymore is the Oilers themselves. Even in a preseason, exhibition, warm-up game like last Sunday, it still just eats my gourd to watch those classless hillbillies win. Especially in H-town. blyech.
I still remember Sam Wyche running it up on the Oilers. I know he hated Glanville and probably rightfully so, but still running it up on the Oilers players and fans was a douchey thing to do.
