Walker is hurt by Kobe's comments; Kobe is not a leader.

Kobe is not a leader. If you have a beef with teammates, leave it in the locker room. Don't run to the press.

Exactly. If I was walker, I'd of smacked him in the head for that.

He basically is implying the guy is soft and can't play with injury. Since when did Kobe become a Doctor?

I have had the misfortune of seeing a few Laker games so far this season, and Kobe seems to go down EVERY game with a sprained toe or a sore finger...doing the grimmace // Jordan routine so that people know he is 'sucking up the pain'.

He has been exposed to a large degree by being way under 50% without Shaq. All those "if it weren't for Shaq" comments now sound resoundingly true...

I can't stand Kobe and I can't stand Phil Jackson. I know I have said it before, but the truth needs to be reiterated :D.

Could you imagine if Steve called Ming soft to the press (he isn't soft). Rockets fans would want tokill Franchise. But when Kobe does it, the Kobe bandwagoners don't care. Kobe is an arrogant punk. A real team leader would address his beef in the locker room, and incourage the player to play better. Ripping players to the press is the worst thing that you can do. It makes the situation worse.

I remember how everybody used to say that the Lakers team was in a turmoil because Shaq and Kobe couldn't get along and that Kobe wanted to be the man. All they did was rattle off 3 trophies in a row. If I'm a Laker fan, I'm probably happy right about now that Kobe's starting something again... :D

Only a politician can take a quote out of context like that. You should run for public office...

The Kobe interview in Slam also proved that Kobe is a fool. Kobe started out saying that he didn't care what people though, and the rest of the interview he was complaining and talking about people's opinion on him.

I think Kobe just try to motivate his team mate, and it is not like Kobe say Shaq is weak, he said Walker is weak. so a better comparison will be Francis say Cato is weak :D

I'm sure that he wasn't trying to motivate him. Obviously Walker didn't take it that way.

Jackson said he had hoped for more compassion from Bryant, who two seasons ago missed more than two weeks because of ankle tendinitis, the same injury that put George on the injured list five games ago.

Trypical Kobe - do as I say, not as I do.

And then he wonders why nobody likes him??

You guys sure do spend a lot of time and energy, bashing Kobe. Aren't you stooping down to his level, by doing that?

But I guess that's ok, since we are all "normal" and Kobe is a superstar.

Where did I bash you? I simply asked you a question. Generally, bashing requires a statement, not a question.

Kobe's trying to imitate Michael Jordan's nastiness with his teammates (motivation ploy). There's so much to blow out of proportion if you hate the guy. But if you like him, then he's showing his "leadership".

Whatever... as long you win, no one cares what you say or what you do.

    Kidrock8 to the rescue!

I find it funny how you will defend Kobe to the death against the alleged "Kobe Bashers," yet you never hesitate to continuously bash Rockets' players unmercifully.

Who are you kidding? If Steve, Cuttino, or any other Rocket player would have done or said something similar you would be jumping all over them with twice as much malice as anyone in this thread. So, just come clean...you're a staunch Lakers fan, correct?

It would be nice if the Lakers would implode, but that's not going to happen. :(

I like bashing Kobe and I have no problem doing so because I'm not a Lakers fan and I don't owe them nothin'. Supporting the Rockets takes effort; gotta take it out on somebody. :)
