    Through 5 games

    18 min/g, 5.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 turnovers. 19.5% FG, 17.7% 3 FG ( hit a career high 38% last year), .2 blocks and 2.7 fouls a game (2.7 fouls last year in 32 mins/gm)

Is he done? You don't see the other guys involved in the failed trade pansying it up like he has. And he didn't look great in pre season either so its been almost 3 weeks of mediocre play

Lamar was done ever since he was butt-hurt about leaving Hollyweird... He married into a life-insurance policy of a lifetime... Who needs basketball anymore once you accomplish that?

    Sheesh, the season just started.
Wait 10-15 more games to judge the guy.

With teams like Dallas, how you start is not as important as being ready come playoffs time.

Well he isn't the only one who is playing bad in Dallas. Even Dirk is playing sub par.

yes, 5 games indicate the end of a career.

next time you have a bad week at work, i'll go ahead and assume you're quitting and going to work at mcdonalds

Odom's got a lot of NBA miles on him and hasn't been a diehard about being his absolute best. The lockout and subsequent trade have combined to get him off to a poor start. I can't imagine that the compressed schedule will be doing him favors either.

Dude, it's only been a few games. It's like the thread/post a week or so ago with someone wondering if the Mavs were done(despite the fact they'd lost to two of the acclaimed best teams in the league-Heat, Thunder and one of the sneaky good teams-Nuggets).

Lamar's a headcase, we all know. At some point in the season, he'll feel better with the Mavs and get his head right. Right now I just think he's taking longer to adjust to his new team, give him time.

He just doesn't get time due to Dallas' rotation.

Marion is needed to guard 3s.

Haywood is needed at 5 when Dirk is at the 4.

Mahinmi and Odom don't play the same position.
Cardinal plays more PF than Odom. Cardinal has been playing in the Mavs system and under Rick Carlisle longer than Odom has. It's no great shame that Cardinal is on the floor longer or finishing games instead of Odom. If we're in April and that's still happening THEN it will be a problem.

    19.5% FG, 17.7% 3 FG

That's bad but then you look at Brian Cardinal's numbers (1-11FG)

Brandan Wright 0.0ppg. Mahinmi and Sean Williams? Meh

He needs to integrate with a new system. It will take a bit. The talent is there. He'll be fine.

Too early to say he's done, but I wouldn't rule it out. My opinion has been if he was ever traded from the Lakers, his new team would be disappointed because he's so attached to LA. But the Mavs have a lot of veterans to egg him on and a great coach, so he might turn it around.

Knee-jerk much? Five games don't tell you much of anything.
