Found this one over on RealGM which all teams seem to like. I would definately pull the trigger on this one. My only hesitation is if the Knicks continue to fail at basketball and that pick actually ends up decent. It needs a slight tweak with salary filler, but the foundation is solid. To Rockets Pau Gasol To Lakers Luis Scola Steve Nash Josh Childress To Suns Terrence Williams Jordan Hill Hasheem Thabeet Mavericks 2012 1st round pick (via LA) Knicks 2012 1st round pick (via Houston) - protected to top 5 Our new Lineup: Lowry / Dragic / Flynn Martin / Lee Budinger / Parsons Gasol / Patterson / Morris Dalembert / (Montejounas)
Take the NY pick out and it seems fair from our perspective. I would even trade Bud for Lopez if possible.
Houston Rockets Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: +0.9 ppg, +7.1 rpg, and -0.2 apg. Incoming Players Richard Jefferson 31.5 year old , 6-7, 225 lb F from Arizona 12.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 0.6 apg in 29.8 minutes Tiago Splitter 27 year old , 6-11, 245 lb F from Caja Laboral (Spain) 7.8 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.2 apg in 23.8 minutes Outgoing Players Kevin Martin 28.5 year old , 6-7, 185 lb G from Western Carolina 19.2 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 30.5 minutes in 2011-2012 With Ginobi hurt, SA will jump on tghis deal.
That's the basics of a good trade, dude. Could be tweaked one way or the other, LA will have to move somebody else to make room for 3 guys. But I like it.
Trade idea for Demarcus Cousins that I think makes too much sense to ever happen: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6rhh7zs Rockets get Cousins and take on Salmons's contract. Minnesota gets Martin Sacramento gets Beasley, Wes Johnson, Ridnour from the Wolves and Jordan Hill from Houston. So, Rockets trade Hill and Martin for Cousins and Salmons. Minn gets Martin, and Sac gets talent, potential, a point guard and a good haul for Cousins.
You may be right, replace Hill with Scola and pull the 2nd round pick. Rockets in Cousins, Beasley, Webster out Martin, Scola, T-Will, Dragic/Flynn T-Wolves in Martin, Salmons out Beasley, Webster, Randolph Kings in Scola, Randolph, T-Will, Dragic/Flynn & any or all of the +'s out Salmons, Cousins +If the Kings or T-Wolves wanted both Dragic AND Flynn than okay just close the deal +Through in Budinger if needed to close the deal +If someone wants Thabeet he can be had, too +Parsons is not untouchable either Then sign Greg Smith and leave HIM and MORRIS in the D-league for most of the season and see what happens. our new Rockets: Lowry, Lee, Beasley, Patterson & Cousins
Would it be possible to send Scola to the Lakers for the trade exeception and 1st round pick in 2012 that they received from the Mavs? They'd send Scola to a winning team and he'd be a better replacement for Odom than Murphy and McRoberts. Also giving us another pick in the 1st.
Houston - Scola, Lee, Dragic Sacramento - Cousins, Salmon Houston - Martin, Hill Indiana - George Houston - Bud Portland - Batum C - Cousins / Dalem PF - Pat / Morris SF - Batum / Parson SG - George /Twill PG - Lowry / Flynn
Houston - Scola, Lee, Dragic Sacramento - Cousins, Salmon Houston - Martin, Hill Indiana - George Houston - Bud Portland - Batum C - Cousins 6'11 / Dalem 6'11 PF - Pat 6'9 / Morris 6'9 SF - Batum 6'8 / Parson 6'9 SG - George 6'8 / Twill 6'6 PG - Lowry 6'0 / Flynn 6'0 or Houston - Scola, Lee, Dragic Sacramento - Cousins, Salmon Houston - Martin Chicago - Deng Houston - Bud, Flynn, Thabeet Philadelphia - Ai C - Cousins 6'11 / Dalem 6'11 PF - Pat 6'9 / Hill 6'11 SF - Deng 6'8 / Parson 6'9 SG - Ai 6'6 / Salmon 6'6 PG - Lowry 6'0 / Twill 6'6
Don't see any of the above trades happening. Chicago got their starting SG and is not gonna downgrade their SF position for such a small upgrade in Martin. Pacers are also not going to give up George. Also, Bud for Batum straight up? Not happening.
Blazers out: G.Wallace, Camby Blazers in: P.Gasol, Budinger - Get arguably the best 1-2 big-man offensive combo in LA/Pau. Bud is a quality young wing to develop. Rockets out: Martin, Budinger, Hill, Thabeet, Flynn, NY 2012 1st Rockets in: G.Wallace, Mayo, Camby - The "defensive movement". Wallace solidifies the wing spot. Mayo replaces some scoring lost and gets an opportunity to break out. Camby splits time with Dalembert inside. Lakers out: P.Gasol, Ebanks Lakers in: Gay, Thabeet, NY 2012 1st - Lakers shakeup their roster and get younger. Gay and Bynum become the future, and combined with Kobe, they still contend now. Thabeet gets developed. Grizzlies out: Gay, Mayo Grizzlies in: Martin, Hill, Ebanks, Flynn - Memphis gets a consistent scorer in Martin, gets needed inside depth/youth in Hill, a solid defender in Ebanks, and a young PG in Flynn. This is a chemistry move. New Rockets roster: Dalembert/Camby Scola/Patterson/Morris Wallace/T.Williams Mayo/Lee Lowry/Dragic
Martin, Patterson, Budinger, Hill, Thabeet, and a 1st round pick for Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu. PG: Lowry/Dragic/Flynn SG: Lee/Williams SF: Turkoglu/Parsons PF: Scola/Morris/Motiejunas C: Howard/Dalembert I love Lowry and Dalembert, but if Dwight and Deron want to play together, you can trade them for Deron.
