ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Clippers 1/4/2012

Rebound game, got to prove we have more heart than we showed tonight. Most interesting matchup so far with Lowry and Carlton.

 

I think we can rebound with a win.

 

We are screwed.

We don't have Hayes to shut down Griffin anymore and Hill will get abused by him.

Not feeling to good about this one.

 

Griffin actually can't take advantage of Scola's weakness, which is post defense. Scola will hustle and keep Griffin from getting lanes to the hoop, so Griffin shouldn't go off on us. Lowry will cancel out CP3. Dalembert will show Jordan what the future version of him can do. Nobody can stop Martin. We win in comfortable fashion.

Another low post thrashing about to happen.

 

Not enough firepower for that to happen. Look for Scola to have his best game of the season, although thinking more about it I don't know if he'll have his legs back yet.

Griffin actually has a pretty good post game and a very improved midrange shot and he will go off on us, probably for at least 30 points. However, I don't think he'd be that successful at guarding scola. I agree that Lowry and CP3 will probably cancel each other out, and as long as they box Deandre off, he won't be able to hurt too much on the offensive boards. And they don't really have anybody who can guard Martin, although CP3 did a heck of a job guarding Jamal Crawford the other night. Caron shouldn't be too much of a threat unless his shot starts falling and if Billups plays, he'll score in an inefficient manner.

The Griffin-Jordan frontline is definitely less scary than Gasol and Bynum, at least from an offense perspective. This is a winnable matchup.

But on a interesting note i think Lowry can hang 30 on CP3 who is a terrible 1 on 1 defender, lets see what he's got vs him

Just hope Lee is back and they have learned from last night's game.
I fear this is indeed the ultimate lob city game with alley-oops, dunks and layups all night long. We better take the ball to the hoop even if that means giving Jordan a new career high in blocks. Taking 30+ threes is ridiculous.

 

If lee isn't back for the game. the Rockets will call Morris from the RGV. I hope he gets playing time tomorrow
