We're exactly a month into the season and after 14 games people are complaining about who the Rockets have beaten? This isn't NCAA basketball, we're not going to have to beat X amount of winning teams to get a bid to the NBA playoffs, if the Rockets win 45 games, beat one or two teams over .500 I'm not going to complain at all. Who cares if they haven't beaten Dallas, yet, anything can happen. If Denver can beat San Antonio, so can the Rockets. Portland will likely be over .500 by the end of the season and the Rockets beat them. Who cares if the Rockets didn't beat Indiana or Dallas?

Try being happy about a team you allegedly support actually having one of the best records in the West, you'll feel better. Or maybe you won't and you enjoy being negative, who knows anymore.

ok, all this saying "we beat the wizards when they were a winning team" is complete nonsense. you trying to tell me that if the wizards finish the season at 6-76, you would still consider that as beating a team w/ a winning record?

seriously folks, get real. the wizards are 6-8, which means we beat a mediocre team at best.

Well, basically we're are saying it is stupid to check for this stat this early.

We could be 3-1 against above 500 teams one week and 1-5 the next. (just an example.) Saying that we beat the Wizards when they were above is just showing how the records change.

BTW, also note that any team we beat who is now 500 or below would be above 500 had we not beaten them.

edit: I would prefer using our record against playoff teams last year to test how we play the better teams. I may have looked wrong, but I think we are 3-3 against playoff teams from last year.

Can't we stop beating this dead horse? I guess not, we beat every other one.

The short answer: Hakeem, MoT, Shandon Anderson, zone defense. Figure out the details yourself.

Help me WinkMan. This is no time to be cryptic.
Yao and Cato are an improvement over Olajuwan in his last year. MoT is back. And what does Shannon have to with it? I hear Hawkins plays better D.

If I am mystified by this team, I can't be the only one. I think even Rudy is.

    Well,

I guess the Rockets winning at Seattle blows this thread away.

Unless Seattle loses their next game, dropping their record to 9-9, which is 500. Then we'd be winless at that time. Unless Portland wins, that is.

One reason why I don't like this record right now. :)

The Rockets beat Seattle, now Seattle could go 9-73, and it wouldn't be a win over a team with a winning record. Now see how silly it is to complain about the Rockets not beating a winning team in November?

Honestly, I don't see us losing against Sacramento. If Griffin or MoT can produce ANYTHING in that game, that game is ours.

Of course, this is all assuming they're without Turkoglu and Stojakovic.

I know it's incredibly difficult to win at Sacramento, but I just get the feeling we will. Anyone else feel the energy from the Seattle game will carry over to this game?

It sounds outrageous, but out bench will blow Sacramento's bench away. Wow. These past few months:

    "Trade Mobley"
    "We need Cato"
    "Our bench will beat Sacramento's"
    "Steve Francis is growing up.."
    "Too much depth"

    Funny how much things change..

LOL! On a side note, how funny was it for Rashard Lewis to say on Sportscenter earlier in the day that he was still bitter about not being drafted by the Rockets and he didn't want the Rockets to be better then his current team. Then with a chance to pass the Rockets in the standings his current team blows a 10 point halftime lead, at home no less, and fall further behind the Rockets? Ooops!

I think they can. The most telling thing is that the Rockets are getting the shots they want there're just not hitting them consistently. As a Rocket diehard and many more here I think we over analyze our team. We magnify every play and every mistake made on the court. The Rockets are playing well enough to win when they shoot at a descent clip. When the shoots start falling we will start to climb up the ladder in the win column. The PF spot seems to be our weakest at this stage of the season. KT and Moochie are playing better. Griff has just gone to sleep on defense. If we can get Griff or MoT to do something in SAC then we can win and come home to play SA. I can't wait for Sunday to get here, except this means going back to work Monday.

Best thing is we will have Cat back in SA.:)

Someone must be feeling dumb right now. According to your mentality, we're losing games before tipoff.

    This thread needs to die.

Well I'm just glad, someone passed this thread along to the players to light a fire under them.

No need to thank me )

Francis mentioned that Mobley will be out for a few more games and might be back when we play against Philadelphia (which is on December 7).
