Didn't know where to put this, hangout out here. want Texans fans input, better chance to be read on this forum. Anyone ever been here? is it worth trying to watch the playoff game there? I wouldn't mind going super early to stake outa table. Just hoping they don't have all of them reserved and closed off.
I imagine it would be a pretty nice spot to catch the game, if they fill the place up with chairs. The tables are pretty spaced out if not. Men's bathroom wall is a two way mirror from the neck up. Had the green chili burger when I went; not impressed but the tater tots tasted just like sonics'.
I actually went there for the Bama/Auburn game and the atmosphere was great for that game so I can't imagine what it's like for a Texans game. They have random trivia and games that go on during the games where you can win prizes and such(I won a 25 dollar gift card for answering questions about the Bama/Auburn Rivalry) The nachos are awesome too and there's a lot of beers on tap.
Several people have said you need to get there at 10:30 for a noon game to get a good seat. So for a playoff game it might take 2 - 2:30 hours early.
Damn near impossible to find a seat on gameday...I stopped by there one Sunday (Jax game) and ended up walking away when I saw the line outside the door... but I went on a Friday night to grab a beer with a friend and it was good. Good food..good beer selection.
You have to get there hours before the game if you want to get a seat there. Otherwise you'll be standing up elbow to elbow with the rest of the crowd. I went there two Sundays ago for a Texans game and ended up leaving and going to the Yard House. Which was actually cool because it was also filled with Texans fans who left the Texans Grille.
It's a pretty nice place. Went there a few weeks ago to try it out (on a non-gameday). The place looks NUTS on a gameday though, lol.
It is a great place, but STAY AWAY FROM THE FRIED CHEESEBURGER. Truly one of the most awful things I've ever eaten.
Well, looks like I'm going to be lit by the time the game starts. I'll head out there around noon. I'm right across the highway.
For the Thursday night game Texans grille was full by 4pm or so I heard. Given this is a playoff game, 11am to Noon sounds about right.
