Who do you guys feel is: a) better now b) more potential (to put up good numbers, all-star appearances etc.) c) better chance of becoming a starting forward soon d) going to have the better career in the end (b & c together) ? I think Markieff is better now, actually having a nice game against GSW now. I do think Marcus has more potential, playing different positions to put up good numbers. I think Markieff can be a starter sooner, with Parsons I think ahead of Marcus and if Twill gets his act together Marcus is the last SF and third PF - if you count Hill as a center - and therefore have the better career. Just to get a discussion going guys, so please no Morey should've drafted the other one or none of that. Thank you
well since marcus only plays for about 4 minutes, markieff is the better one. but i still think marcus has more potentail
Markieff is the better overall defensive player (boards, blocks, etc). That's not to say Marcus CAN'T do that, he can, but Marcus is the better scorer.
Also, Markieff will get more PT with the Suns not being as deep as the Rockets. Rockets got 2-3 guys over Marcus.
Markieff looks great (now playing). He is a top scorer for Suns with 16 and he can make shots from all over the floor. He really looks impressive.
Markieff shows you exactly what Marcus can do and more..... They are twins so part of their genes are the same. That being said, Marcus is the better offensive player there, rebounding less because he's not on the block.
Those 2-3 guys don't even compare to what Kieff is doing and what Mook can probably do, too, and more.
I don't think anyone can say and will say that since morey didn't have a choice. Last I checked Suns picked first and Morey got the left over.
Markieff is better now and will be better in the future. Marcus can't develop, since he is banished to the bench and there are few days for practices due to lockout compressed schedule. If we get a rookie friendly coach, it might change things.
Seems like the concensus was the Marcus was the better prospect and there was great surprise when the Suns picked Markieff ahead of him. Isn't that the way you folks remember it? Where's hayesfan... gone to SacTown!
Re-open this thread up in two seasons then we can talk. For now, this thread is useless at this time. However, as PROSPECTS, Marcus is a more skilled and versatile player coming out of college. Markieff is a banger in the post with limited offensive game. Both are interchangeable in size and athleticism (hence identical twin) but have learned to complement each other with their different skill sets they played with at Kansas Nobody will be able to tell you who is better or worse, I would rank them very close to each other as far as their value as NBA player go, but Markieff might make a greater impact because of his nature to do the dirty work underneath the glass. Marcus is perfectly capable of doing the same thing, but is being groomed to play the wing positions so it might take years longer for him to have an impact in the NBA.
Let them play the same minutes per game than talk cos you cant compare the twins right now. Anyhow marcus morris is sent to the d-league.
