He is not a better passer than Chris Paul.

He looks pretty good. Looks really good setting up those paases, makes it look so easy. I do really hope he finds some consistent offensive game. He is exciting to watch.

Nash played rugby as a fullback in high school. The equivalent position in gridiron would be running back.

All these young point guards putting up numbers are making me

    MORE SKEPTICAL

of the guard friendly NBA rules.

How can you suck ass in Europe, then with NO NBA OFFSEASON training camp you immediately shine?

Brandon Jennings comes to mind as well.

    Actually I am meh too.

But there sure were a lot of people who just KNEW Rubio would suck in the NBA. Just wondering where they are.

What does that OHMSS guy say? He's only doing good b/c the NBA is inferior to the Euro league?

I want NBA goes back to the old days like PG only focus on passing, not scoring or dunking, just like how women used to belong to the kitchen.

So I think Rubio > any PG in NBA (in passing + vision).

Rubio is legit. His court vision and passing ability are elite imo. Looks like Luke Ridnour's days as a starter are numbered. Positive development for the T-Wolves.

    Lol

Because they are very different games. Moreover, I don't know why you use the word skeptical. They are different games, that cater to different strengths. Skeptical makes it sound like one version gives someone an unfair advantage.

And it's not just guards. It's all players. The NBA game favors athleticism, speed, etc. It somewhat less favors pure skills, though that is overrated. The big distinction is that Europe is a shorter game that allows for more physicality.

It's a matter of personal preference, but to me, I favor the more open game of the NBA. It should be noted, of course, that the NBA's best still dominate international play, on the whole.

Rubio might be a special case, in that he's Steve Nash like. I imagine Nash would similarly struggle (relative to his NBA career) in Europe given the physicality.

    Nope

Nash is a deadly shooter from both spot-up and off the dribble. That's the case

The reason is actually is not a smth from Rocket Science Book

The NBA court is bigger, so there is much more space. The speed and athleticism is on a sky high level, so you can be much more inaccurate and still be a solid distributor (Westbrook). The whole this team was built around Rubio abilities with guys that can shoot, drive, play pick and roll and play off the ball. All he needs to do is just find them all. Rick was a cherry on a pie
