Chase was awful. This guy may be a Matt Harpring type of player if he becomes real good defensively.

You know he used to be more of an offensive player....he just sucked at it in those three games.

Everybody keeps saying "Goodbye Bud"... but Parsons hasn't played a single minute at SF this season.

Parsons is that spacing 4 that Morey has always been looking for in the draft.

You think he is a 4? I thought he was a big 3?

But he has been playing a lot of spacing 4...Matt Bonner matchup etc.

He'll be a three when Patterson is healthy.

I hope he takes the starting job away from Bud soon. He has a way more versatile skillset and seems a lot hungrier than C-Dud.

So a guy does good in garbage minutes and gets elevated to starting material, gosh I sure how you guys are consistent when talking about Thabeet in the same manner.

    Right....ROFLMAO...not.

What we need from the SF spot...

    rebounding/defense/shot creating/decent shooting

chase is non of those (even the shooting) so far.
his 4/9 shooting is not indicative of bad shooting because he was wide open for most of those shots.
Heck if you leave me wide open I'll hit 60% of my shots.

He has played more than just garbage minutes. That said, I keep hoping that Morris gets the defense and NBA three down. Morris has a much wider offensive arsenal (assuming his moves translate to NBA) than Budinger and Parsons. For now, I'd rather Lee get into the game even if it is against bigger threes.

I see Parsons as potentially an excellent backup 3. Even though very different players, I saw the same in Budinger except I thought/think Budinger could be a fifth starter on right team.

Parsons is already showing flashes of possibly being a nice role player. Thabeet hasn't shown anything in three years of being in the NBA. He is so horrible that McHale doesn't even want to keep him activated.

No one thinks Parsons is going to be a star, but he may be a very NBA-ready second round pick, a la Landry Fields. Smart role player who brings more to the table than just a streaky shot unlike net negative Chase.. It’s not that unfathomable to think someone might be starting material over C-Dud…

The NBA has way too many athletic 3s for Parsons to keep up with, and those 3s will have no problem covering Parsons out in the perimeter. However, matched up with 4s that don't like to venture out to the 3 point line, he will carve out a niche in the NBA once he bulks up. Think Ryan Anderson and Matt Bonner.

Agreed - both Bud and JHill look too laid back, like too many nights kickin' it with the chronic.
