We need another Kyle Lowry. Badly.

Our starting unit should be Lowry/Martin/Lee/Scola/SamDam. That would give us a much better balance of offense and defense, particularly since Lowry is playing at an all star level.

Not too long ago, we had a killer second unit that was driven by Lowry. Lowry to Landry. Lowry to Buddinger. Lowry to everyone. Lowry pushing tempo. Lowry pressuring the ball. Lowry taking charges. Lowry changing the damn game.

There are enough pieces to build an effective second unit. Budd, Lee, Twill, PatPat. Parsons looks like he would fit nicely into a second unit a type lowry.

Can you imagine how a Lowry driven second unit would absolutely pulverize opposing teams on a back to back, or back to back to back? In the absence of an elite starting 5 in the last several years, the next mos enjoyable thing to watch was that Lowry driven second unit.

Flynn is complete garbage. Dragic is ok, but not a PG.

Daryl, would you please figure out how to do another Alston for Lowry trade?

Until then, Kevin McHale, would you please keep doing what you're doing, play the young guysm and lose games. Thanks.

And Clutchfans, each time before you hammer Daryl Morey, please remember that he obtained Kyle Lowry for Skip to my Lou (aka, the worst teardrop in the history of the NBA).

Martin for OJ Mayo.. ? Mayo is the worse player right now but he could develop into something better for us in the future.

Not to derail this thread, but looking at your projected starting lineup, I honestly don't get how you and others think Courtney can play a starting 3. The dude is tiny (questionable 6'5?) for a SF, he has a short wingspan, and would get murdered on a consistent basis as a three. We would be better off with Parsons as a starting three in all honesty.

As for back up point guard, I still think Dragic is capable of being what Lowry was a couple of years ago, he can push the tempo. He just needs to round into form, not to mention its only been 3 games. So lets not push any sirens just yet.

I would like to get Mayo, but Martin is giving up too much.

I think Mayo's value is at an all-time low right now (though he had a good game yesterday). Definitely Morey's type of situation to pick up a player.

The kid can play and will bring scoring off the bench.

Flynn is awful to watch play, my eyes we're bleeding during the entire 4th quarter. Terrible. He'll take us straight to Andre Drummond though  .

The answer to the problem the OP is stating is:

    Sergio Llull

Don't you think Mayo will become a legit Starting SG in the future? He surely plays better than D than Martin.

Martin is giving way to much we would have to snag someone else from them as well.

Dragic pushes the ball but does not make his teammates better. he looks to score much more than distribute.

Doubt he'll ever be as productive as Martin offensively, but I like how he plays, and i've always been a fan since his USC days.

If we we're to give up Martin in a trade and have Lee starting, I would love to have a guy like Mayo off the bench.

I really think he's value is at an all-time low right now, time to snatch him!

We need another pass first backup, neither Goran nor Flynn seems to be it, but it could be that they are both trying to hard because their job is on the line.

I blame this on Morey....too many players equals a lot of players playing for their own numbers...

We had another Lowry, but then waived Jeremy Lin.

Rubio is going to be better than anyone we have on our team right now, they won't give him up.

But if they would it would be Lowry + Kmart for him.

Or, more competition for a roster spot makes you play with more energy/focus. Come on, the players aren't so dumb that they think they can shoot their way into the coach's good graces.
