What is the latest news about the Rockets Fan Committee?

we all got subway sandwiches last meeting, and they took our sizes for some nifty Rox jerseys with "Fan Council" on the back.

We actually signed non-disclosures (not shlt) to not reveal any sensitive info from the meetings, but they don't really know who heypartner is, so I give you the scoop.

next meeting, which is not so surprisingly 2 weeks before the trading deadline, they are going to use us for a focus group study on whether we think there would be a huge backlash if they trade Moochie. They are worried about the effect of trading a fan favorite, bobblehead player with many commercials and billboard. I suspect that this time Carroll Dawson will be standing behind that creepy two-way mirror they have in our meeting room, like that observation window wasn't waaaayyy obvious.

 

And the secret Hexagon offense! Don't forget that! Mooch can't play the Hex for sh#$!

A. How to join Rockets Fan Committee?
B. What is Clutch Crew? Are they the authoriative figures?

A) The Rockets organization invited a select group of mostly Rockets season-tickets holders to comprise the Fan committee. If you're not a season-ticket holder, I wouldn't hold my breath on being asked to join unless you were to do something like mobilize the city of Houston to keep the Rockets in town.

B) The Clutch Crew are the board administrators. Don't piss them off.

Clutch sacrifices a good deal of time, effort and resources to keep this site going. If you enjoy this site and would like to convey your appreciation, you can post props to Clutch and crew in the Feedback forum and put something in the Tip Jar as well to help keep the site running.

 

Heyp .... we know where you live ....

Actually, what we did at the last Fan Council meeting was take the Council on a tour of our premium sales center (where we have a model of the new arena and a full-size built out suite), and then we spent some time discussing what issues will be the most important ones to them as we get into the new arena.

The issues themselves weren't shockers, but the Council was great in helping us get a sense of which issues should take top priority. They also helped us understand some issues in greater depth. We ran over by almost an hour and probably could've gone longer than that and been productive. The members of the Council are pretty passionate about the kinds of issues we were talking about, which was great.

And then heyp got on a table and started doing Elvis covers, which was kind of a surprise. Amazing, simply amazing.
