I think he'll make up his damn mind when we stop with these damn threads about Mo Taylor making up his mind. [IMG]

Seriously, here is my thought. Seattle is his top choice over Houston IMO, but as of now they already have a very good PF and they will have no cap room next summer. I think he is giving Seattle until a certain time to do something, and if something isn't done he signs with Houston. The Ewing thing was rumored today, and that probably would make Mo go to Seattle, but as I've said in other threads it just makes no sense for Seattle to pull the trigger. I think he's just giving Seattle a little time to do something, and if they don't he'll sign with Houston. I do think eventually Mo will come here, because it's unlikely IMO for Seattle to make a move to clear cap room or to trade Baker for a center. But it may be a while.

I think he will sign with the Rockets around Labor Day. But last night I saw on Fox Sports South West that The Magic,Raptors, and Pacers are trying to get him to take the exception. I hope thats not true because if it is we don't have a chance of getting him over the Magic and Pacers.

The Magic have no exception. They were under the cap. The Pacers won't get him, because there is no way they can promise him minutes with Dale Davis and Austin Croshere already there at PF. The deal with Toronto is completely dead.

How much could Seattle sign him for, if they dont do a sign and trade?

If its still the 2.25 mil exception, then I agree with Cat... Mo Taylor is just waitin for Seattle to do something... if not, then he'll sign with Houston. But, unlike Cat, I think that Houston is his #1 option, mainly becuz of the cap room available next year (not to mention good PT). I think he just wants to make sure his decision is the correct one, therefore he or Falk is waitin to see if Seattle will do anything that might make the situation over there better than here.

But whatever the reason is, I hope he just makes his decision soon. I'm tired of waitin... everytime I come, I expect to see "MO SIGNS WITH HOUSTON" or somethin on the front page...

I really really want Mo to sign with the Rockets. But aside from the money Mo wants to play with a contender or a good playoff team because he's sick and tired of losing. Definitely, if Mo signs with the Rockets he would make us an instant playoff team and contender. Doesn't want to play for a team that would rely too much on him in terms of scoring and rebounding. What makes Seattle ahead of us is that they have more stars and established veterans on their team like Baker, Payton, Grant. There won't be problems on positions because Baker can play the 3,4 and 5 spot and Foster and Mc Coy can play the center position. Grant, Mo and Baker can also play at the same time on the floor. And that makes Mo interested more in Seattle. So Mo has 2 choices to make: (1)Play with Seattle as a contributor and go to the playoffs for the first time in his life or play with the Rockets, be a starting power forward, have a chance to be an established star and help a rebuilding team to make the playoffs and make some noise.

It's not necessarily MT gumming up the works, http://www.foxsports.com/nba/hou/teamreport.sml :

Maurice Taylor has pretty much narrowed his choice down to the Rockets, but mild interest continues to be shown by other teams.

Actually, the Sonics could still get in the picture. But for Seattle to make any sense for Taylor, the Sonics would likely have to work a sign-and-trade deal with the Clippers to give Taylor the minutes and money to win his signature. Getting the Clippers to make a deal usually is as smooth a process as negotiating an arena deal in Houston. But now they have no motivation to make Taylor richer or expand their roster and are even less likely than usual to swing a deal.

But the delay in Taylor's decision, expected several days ago, cannot be blamed on the Clippers' ineptness or Taylor's indecisiveness. While Taylor seems to have been won over, his agent David Falk is still not convinced that the Rockets and their $2.25 million exception are the way to go. He has instead worked the phones to try to scare up something more lucrative and long-term certain.

He has not found anyone with the money or interest. A report that the Wizards would be interested showed Falk's typical problem. Though they have their exception available, the Wizards won't have cap room any time soon and don't necessarily want to spend the exception for a player they have no hope of keeping. And if he's going to play for the exception, Taylor might as well play for a team that could become a long-term home.

The Rockets have no ambivalence. They are convinced that Taylor's lack of passion last season could be blamed on his three seasons trapped in the Clippers lockup. Free at last, the Rockets expect Taylor to blossom and to be worthy of the contract he could not find -- and they could not offer -- this summer.

"He's a very talented player that is attracting a lot of interest from a lot of teams and we're one of the teams," Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich, who met with Taylor August 7 in Chicago, said. "He's young, talented and he could change somebody's program a little bit."
