Morey is the best GM in basketball. Great signing of Dalambert which kept our flexibility for next year. He took advanced stats to the next level and he is the prototypical Gm.
Hell ya brother, thats what I'm talking about. We need more fans like you. Houston we have lift off. Amazing things can happen in the NBA, nobody though Dallas would win it all and they did last year. Why not the Rockets this year. We have the heart, determination and work ethic to win it all.
Yeah Morey is great, he's so much better than those GM's with two or three superstars on their teams.
Oh and the way he trades away good players like Carl Landry (who had 20 points/11 rebounds tonight) for fool's gold is just fantastic
Stop being a troll, those other GM's had superstars via tanking or by being in a major market. Morey has made something out of nothing
The negativity on this board is very sad. The rockets have played one freakin game this season. I will say that I'll stop watching or caring if I see any more of Scola at the 5.
This from the guy who starts a thread about being willing to trade the entire Rockets roster for any other team's? Drugs are bad, man!
Why are you living in the past? I'm all about the future and in the future I see the rockets winning it all this season.
Les inherited the championship core assembled by Patterson and Thomas. I won't forgive him for the uniform change after winning back to back. I didn't like the way we treated Calvin Murphy
So as a fan I'm not allowed to think that the approach we are currently taking isn't going to help us win in the long term? It makes me a bad fan if I hope that we trade our experienced players like Martin and Scola for picks and younger talent? Tanking doesn't mean purposely losing but it does often mean blowing up a roster that is likely not going anywhere and getting the best rebuilding pieces that you can in return. Sometimes you have to just start from scratch again and there is nothing wrong with that.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to start from scratch. but the thing is, if we trade our established players (Scola, Martin) for draft picks, at best we`ll get a 1st rounder in between 10-20. Any younger talent included in the trade will be unproven players similar to Thabeet and Jordan Hill. So the best bet for the Rockets is to roll with what they have and let the chips fall where they may (In the playoffs )
You do realize there are NBA players who live here in the offseason who are in no way affiliated with the Houston Rockets, right?
The negativity about the mediocrity of this franchise preceded this one game, sammy. Hell, the founder of this website wrote a blog before the season ever began talking about how it was a good season to lose. Ya'll ready to say Clutch isn't a Rockets fan?
