Giving all of the credit for recent Clipper's wins solely to Paul, isn't completely fair either. Billups and other recent acquisitions have greatly improved this team and spread scoring out. Sure Paul has made a difference, but he hasn't done it all alone.

We've been down this road before so not surprising if Morey tries this again. We know Les won't build via the draft so might as well give it another shot with Gasol.

Gasol doesn't want to play here and Nene is off the market, and Gasol/Nene would have been fool's gold anyway.

Sadly, the only way we're a part of a Dwight trade is as a third wheel.

I still don't understand the thinking of people when they say they wouldnt trade Scola and Martin for Pau.

Martin is so overrated on this board it's ridiculous. He scores for 3 quarters and and contributes very minimal on defense.

Scola is all hustle, heart, and offense but no defense NONE whatsoever. He gives up as many points as than he scores.

By moving those two players we have an opportunity to play Patterson ( one of our youngest players with the most potential) due to the fact that Pau can play the 5. Scola cannot play the 5 so the only way we can see Patterson is if he plays with Dally or Hill or tries to be an undersized 5.

I've said this before and I'll say it again...Kevin Martin blows.

I really wish we'd get over Gasol. He's on the wrong side of 30 and is not a player to build the future of the franchise around...

Go after Dwight and save cap room for Deron. New Jersey is a train wreck right now and I can't imagine anyone wanting to go there.

If Dwight walks, he walks. He would have to leave 100 million on the table. Atleast we can rebuild afterward.

But Scola is on the right side of 30?

Front line of Pau and Dalebert is nice. The West is really weak right not. I think anyone has a chance at winning it.

It irritates the crap out of me when people say nobody wants to play in Houston. Nobody wanted to play in New York either, til Amar'e signed. Nobody wanted to play for the Clippers, til the Bi-racial Facial showed up. Think about that. L.A. and NY had teams that no one would play for until they got a star. If Houston got a star player, other players would follow. That's how it works.

Without Nene I don't see any reason to take Gasol.

The whole idea was to get:

    Gasol+Nene+Chuck (keep him)

    for

    Martin+Scola+Dragic+Thabeet (would have amnestied)

Now I don't see the point if we only get Gasol..

You can hope and wish and pray as hard as you want, the Rockets name is not on that list.

Lakers, Mavs, Nets, are all confirmed to be part of the list. Con-ject-ure it all you want I doubt we're on that list.

That's not necessarily the truth..... Tons of high profile players have longed to want to play in MSG.. The problem was incompetence in acquiring free agents, drafting, and making trades. Because stars don't fall into your lap, NYK went through seasons of crap because of horrible decision by their front office. They simply had nothing to offer for a premiere player. Taking on TMac's huge expiring and a couple decent drafts enabled them to break the mold and sign Amare and trade for Melo.

Your right, if a star was already on board we'd be a good destination. The main problem is how do we get a star and KEEP him here?

That said, NY and LA are what they are. As soon as Walsh cleaned up that mess in NY, Amare jumped on board with no superstar on the team. Lakers speak for themselves and Clippers finally hit the jackpot with Griffin.

Rumors: Hawks offered Joe Johnson and Josh Smith for Dwight Howard

that trumps us...but I doubt hawks do that deal without guarantee of resign by howard...and I doubt howard would want to play in that market...altought if they have the cap room next season to get dwill...hortford and howard front court would be the best in the game.

Without even mentioning reserves, that line up right there may be a 2 or 3 seed in the WC. What we have now will land us back at drafting in the teens.

Gasol is a pussyfoot, I don't mind trading Martin & Scola for a new starting PF but not for this guy.

    Jesus Christ.
If this deal happens, McGrady becomes a starter.
More importantly, it turns the Magic into serious contenders; Hawks will remain a joke.
