Why can't people understand that we were looking to make cap room. and making it easier for us to develop our younger players.

The guy averaged 21-8 his last playoffs with the Grizz, maybe his teammates were more of the issue than his lack of heart? The year before in the playoffs he was 20-7 and his first was 19-5...nothing wrong with those stats.

Media means nothing......because media also reported the deal going through......Stern vetoed. Stern stood above the media

Well Given that Gasol with 18 points and his 8,9 rebounds 1.5 blocks and NeNe's 14 points and 7 rebounds and because they are so great two way players
will surely put us into Top 3 contention in the West ?! ;) Dream on

PS: Scola had 18 and 8, Martin 23.5 . Gasol's defense is suspect because Bynum is there to cover, and the Lakers' game pace is very slow........Gasol got blocked by the Chuckwagon so he's not the enforcer you want

While Nene's stats don't impress me.....he might be efficient but that was about it......

We would still be fighting for the 6th spot or below and nobody in the media would care

Then we read different news. I always read Denver was first choice........
and you make no mistake..... Gasol is not Kobe or Lebron level so good that other free agents would come for cheap......

Apparently we do...Denver was always a choice but I remember it was a three team race with Nene waiting on the Howard/Paul drama to unfold.

Oh and who mentioned Gasol in Kobe or James' class? We see things differently on this but I NEVER said that.

Ok. I implied that only those players were good enough to attract other players wanting to play with them. Unfortunately we don't have them.
While Pau Gasol is a nice player to have, he is not the best fit here and he does not fit with a skilled but soft NeNe.....because he is somewhat soft himself.
I know Gasol played well with Kobe...no question, but it is also known that Gasol coasted a lot.....and last year he just crumbled......

so the 6 percent efficiency warrants 10 million more per year?

Pau is also a better defender than Scola.

Normally Morey still won't pay him 17 million. In a normal world. Morey is someone who underpays. You should know that.

Leslie Alexander had the say. He was scared of empty seats and attendances.....damn

Pau is washed up and on the decline, I'll take Scola over him at what he's making over Pau any day of the week.

Lakers are in trouble with Pau on the downside, Bynum is their only hope.

One thing peeps are forgetting is that this move would have made Hill and PPat definite bench guys.

We know what PPat is capable of but Hill?

Look at his game last night, really look at it. He made all 3 of his shots. He had 6 Rebounds and most of them he had no business getting. He was in some foul trouble last night though but I have a feeling this is going to be a really good year for him...

Why do you even care to defend someone who was a Faker that dislikes to play here.
It's like getting the semi hot ex girl friend from another guy in the class room and in the last minute the parents vetoed and she gets back with him.

For the rockets.. scola is better then gasol... if gasol is playing that way in LA he would be twice as bad here, with no motivation... he didnt want to come here. Keep Scola all the way
